There's a part of me that wants to forget this awful day but I cannot. It's been burned in my brain, my memory and I can't ever forget it. I have loved Samuel Barber's Adagio for strings years before September 11th occurred. It's the most beautiful piece of music I know. I've always loved it from the moment I heard it for the first time.

I grew up in a musical household. Both parents were music majors. I was expected to be a tuba/guitar somebody. My major required me to take choir.I didn't care or know how to sing. First day in school I was scared shitless. This dude, no hesitation, said c'mon in and lets check your range. I insisted I didn't know how. No affect was apparent. He measured me up, assigned me, and 'lo and fukin behold choir was by MIIIIIIIIIIILES the most enjoyable thing I experienced at ASU. All because of This guy. This guy is good ass people, man.
