That's my old car....FACT!! I owned it in the mid '70s. The current owner also owns Gene Winfield's "Jade Idol" custom. Both special cars indeed.

@@myhotrodtv Thanks.....you should do a review on the Gene Winfield Jade Idol too....the same guy who owns this '55 Chevy is up near Portland Or. He invited me several years ago to come up and see my old Barris Custom again (after 45 years) and he actually had a "reunion" of everyone he could find that used to own the car or who had worked on it over the years. There had to be 30 of us attending that reunion party. It was cool. And by the way....Jim Seaton (original owner) also had George Barris customize a '59 Camino and George did it up in the same fashion with similar paint and many of the same details. At spot 1:32 you see the '55 Chevy sitting outside Barris Custom shop while Jim Seaton and Geroge Barris are talking. To the right of the photo you'll see the '59 Camino parked and ready to be customized. ;-)

My dad had a brand new 1951 Ford 4-door sedan with a V-8 and Ford-a-Matic transmission. It was a great car with not one moment of trouble. Later, my older brother had a 51 2-door sedan he drove to high school. He was a cool cat with red rims and leaded in headlight rims and emblems. My uncle had a 51 Ford Victoria 2-door hardtop in two tone blue and white.

@@myhotrodtv yes I agree my 54 Chevy Belair hardtop will be getting chopped & paint and a few mods pretty soon it will be heading to Lucky 7 Custom out of Antioch Ca. It will be down for like a year but will be worth it. Can’t wait. My license plate is called EEQUESU it’s a slang term in the Chicano area means like WOW. The car will be called Just a Dream! Look out for it in the future I will take to shows but not going for the trophy mainly for a driver to enjoy for me & my wife and something I dream as a kid loving the chop top. Been sober for 21yrs going on 22yrs on the 4 of July. Can’t wait ☝🏽❤️🙏🏽

Maybe because that is the way the factory built it.. They should have built a 2 door Hardtop model to compete with the Nomad.

I remember the show in Granger, tell me at 6 minutes into the video, does my red 1935 Ford Coupe look like a pickup? It did to the clubs judges.. Great video....

Yes it does.. I had a 1935 Ford Pickup once and I see the resemblance. And the white 1936 Ford Cabriolet looks like a Rat Rod. Thanks for commenting.
