This deserves its placement on the "Treasures" playlist. Amazing how much the YMO guys had their hand in. I often wonder if I really like Japanese music, or if the members of YMO were just so prolific that their body of work looks like the output of an entire country.

Such an excellent record, liking the fact that every track switches from one musical style to another, defying conventional standards.

La amoo, todo es perfecto en esta cancion me lleva a otra dimensión de algun pasado que no me toco vivir pero esa instrumentalizacion bien marcada desde la bateria, el bajo y el sintetizador es pura magia🥹🥹😍

The very brief story of this amazing band goes kind of like this: First album was a good commercial success. Then, the guitarist and leader of the band (Bun Itakura), made some of the most amazing songs ever. He went one way (musical genius that he is), but Victor Records went a different way as is always the case. This, their final album, was released on a somewhat small label, so no money for singles or promotion. The 6th song, Mada, could have easily been a huge success, and is still a popular song amongst Japanese musicians and music lovers having been covered by a couple of somewhat popular recent Japanese bands/singers. I am the producer of a (year) 2020 vinyl album called "From Birds To A Mountain" which consists of songs made shortly after this album that never got recorded in a studio.

i think this might be a remaster version of the 1997(?) version of dolphino when she went under the name "napthaline squall"

Next year in 2025, it will be 10 years since Yokota Susumu passed away. Before his death, Yokota's little-known hidden masterpieces, which are not already very famous masterpieces like Sakura, were re-released as LPs, mainly by European labels. Nevertheless, there are still albums that have not been re-released as LPs among Yokota's masterpieces, and LOVE OR DIE is one of them.

Love Or Die is the third and final album with the concept of 3/4 beats by Susumu Yokota. It was the first album released in 2005 by Wonder Waltz with the concept of 3/4 beats and the first in Yokota's discography to feature a number of vocalists. Released in 2006, Triple Time Dance is the second album with the concept of 3/4 beats, a dance music album focused on dance floor and a non-stop mix of Yokota’s discography.
