Fantastic review, guys. Especially John. Couldn’t agree more. The dizzying, almost nauseating camera work was very deliberate to emphasize the chaotic atmosphere hours before the broadcast. 👏

Best part of movie is introducing the world famous and despicable East Coast attorney Roy Cohn. One of the all time vicious attorneys turned out of our law schools. Cohn because of him breaking laws with his clients was disbarred about 2 week before he died. I wish the movie had given us a sliver of Cohn working with the horrible “anti-communist” Senator Joseph McCarthy in the 1950s. MCCarthy would charge anybody being a communist with no facts at all during the 1950s. There’s no doubly in my mind that DJT used Roy Cohn as his model for dealing with business decisions and the court. I’m happy that Roy Cohn is introduced to us in this film. I don’t thing that as many as 5% of American voters even know who Roy Cohn was. Horrible because DJT has gone forward in his own life imitating Cohn’s toughness. The film deserves a 10. DJT’s highly paid legal team tried to stop the film being shown in America and only 2 weeks before the November 5th Election Day has the film been available to watch in cinema theaters in America. Vote for Kamala Harris for President,

Seriously?!? Challengers is worse than Madame Web?!? Seriously?! Cameron, cool that you opened up to the comments, but Moon and John, worse than Madame Web?!? Are you for real?! I get that maybe you didn’t like it very much or maybe the film was too sexy or maybe just not your cup of tea, but WORSE THAN MADAME WEB?!? Like, Madame Web is AWFUL. It’s incompetent and terribly put together. It lacks ANY creativity and doesn’t know what it’s doing. Challengers on the other hand, whether you like it or not, is at least well put together. As film critics you have to ask what is the film trying to make you feel. What is it trying to do. Criticism comes with a thirst for compassion and empathy. It’s not always “what you see is what you get” but “I wonder what the artist is trying to convey”. Sometimes watching something you may not fully understand takes some time to step back and try to see the big picture. Love what you do but this is a joke. Madame Web is not worse than Challengers. To each their own, but cmon, it’s not worse than Madame Web.
@MovieCrew03 ай бұрын
I totally agree with you about madame web when the boys didn’t have it at the worst honestly I was shocked. I can’t remember ever leaving a cinema feeling like I did after I watched madame web. Challengers I am going to give another chance but I think where I placed it in my list it will probably stay but we will see. Thanks for commenting and watching! Cameron.

Omg you guys 😭😭 I can’t believe challengers was in the bottom 5 for all of y’all, but to each their own. To me it was the hottest movie of the summer, I will defend this movie with my life 😤 I’m happy Cameron ranked it lower as it deserves so much better 😭😂 even if you don’t like it, you gotta give credit to other elements of the film like the cinematography and acting (much better than madame web) just my opinion 😊✌🏽

It was a lovely movie though I actually think it loses its appeal in the last 30mins lol. Which you guys said it's the best part. Yes, it was a VERY long movie. It really didnt need to be a long movie. Agree that Scarlet and Channing arent super hot together. More like friends. I also do think that we didnt need this story. Conspiracy theories dont need to be face-saved with a movie.... of all things. Good try, Hollywood.

I had a good time with this one. Not near the adrenaline rush of Fury Road but Alyla Browne and Anya Taylor Joy did great as Furiosa but Chris Hemsworth was the show stealer for me! I did feel some pacing issues but overall it was an enjoyable return to the wasteland. Great review!

I thought it was a good follow up. Wish it was a little longer. Only problem I had was when she got new clothes, they happened to fit perfectly. I didn't care for the male human character. I give it a solid 8/10

Certain things are always iffy, but it's good you liked the movie. What did you think about the previous planet of the apes movies?
@jeremebonesaw5 ай бұрын
@MovieCrew0 I thought they were all good movies with Dawn being the best. War was good, but felt there was some comedy relief forced in with the zoo ape with his character. I did like the character, but felt they introduces him in a smart, agile way then he turned out to be clueless.

10/10 tennis rackets for the music. Trent reznor really knows how to make a banger.
@MovieCrew05 ай бұрын
Do agree about Trent Reznor but don't know about his music in this movie hahha. What did you think about the movie though?
@emilydavila88335 ай бұрын
@@MovieCrew0 oh I absolutely loved it! Not a big fan of tennis which is otherwise a boring sport (imo), but by the end of this I was left so excited and enthralled. I loved how it really wasn’t about Tashi and her husband, but about the two guy’s relationship. That ending was fantastic when they gesture the ball to the tennis racket, such a wild call back to earlier, I flipped! I read a review that said something about the sex scenes being the foreplay and the tennis match being the intercourse, the grunting, the camerawork focusing on the muscle, in a gratuitous, intimate way. God. And the soundtrack?! The way the tennis ball was rallying back and forth mimicking Tashi’s role with the guys was so genius. It really plays into the editing and storytelling aspect. I can see how the characters being unlikeable can be a turn off to the movie, I for one hated Wolf of Wall Street for the same reason, but once I was able to let go of that I was able to understand the movie on a whole new level and appreciate it for what it was. Like this movie it was the messiness and complexity of friendship and love and how that can complicate things. Okay I’m too drunk ima end this now. Love your reviews, keep at it. Peace ✌🏽

Love your take on the movie. It's so weird that a piece of art can be perceived in so many different ways, and it hits everyone differently. I did hear someone's thoughts that this movie characters symbolise different things, but time and space of mindset do contribute towards the reception. I still don't like Wolf of wall Street for the same reasons you mentioned and haven't looked back on it again( maybe should give it a go again haha). Thanks for the comment. More reviews are coming soon -Moon

I LOVED every messy, complicated minute of this movie. Obviously, you youngsters have never been in a complex meaningful relationship before. lol This is NOT a cookie cutter, boy meets girl, falls in love, ending the same way as most movies. #2, the music was used to make you feel the emotion of the scene versus the actual spoken words. #3, the time jumps are shown like a tennis match, back and forth. This movie is one you have to pay attention to because ...for example...Art is the reason Tashi has her injury if you think about it. He tells her that Patrick doesn't love her. He then tells Patrick that she isn't really interested in him. This ultimately is in both of their heads; they argue, she plays her match right after the argument and permanently injures herself and then she and Art yell at Patrick to go away when he comes to see her after the injury. Art yells BECAUSE He wants her. I could go on and on but if you go see it again (with a different mindset) I guarantee you guys will see it with different eyes and will be debating what was really going on. Hope you do. 😃
@MovieCrew06 ай бұрын
Thank you for providing an insight into what the movie made you feel. The criticism was never about disliking the movie because it is not a cookie-cutter movie but because of the characters being so unlikeable that we did not care about them or their relationship. The time jump thing was mentioned by Cameron in the video but it does really impact the pacing of the movie. But, the beauty of movies in general is you could 'absolutely' love something and others just won't feel the same about it. We debate with each other all the time about many movies but we always appreciate each other's opinions and we certainly appreciate your opinion. Maybe, in the future one of us would see the movie through a different lens and come around and say that you were right about it. But, nothing could change our minds about that music for sure haha.
