I love everything except the white ring on the OD of the face. That should be black too. They should only have the hour blocks, and hands as white. Oh well. 🤷♂️

I have another Spring Drive GS. I am note sure whether it’s because of that or despite that, but in this case, I would lean to the Hi Beat. Maybe it’s the idea of variation, but I think it’s the slightly more impactful dial, the Hi Beat seems to have more structure.

Happy to have finally found a reviewer with an 8" wrist like myself. All the other content I've found has such a focus on watches being "too big" when they're over 40mm. This watch is gorgeous and while it doesn't quite have the same aesthetic, it really scratches the Murph itch for me while having better water resistance and fitting more wear scenarios. Thanks for the review!

The lack of lume spoils it for me, a shame when so much is right.

Mine came in the mail today and I can't believe how amazing it is. It presents even better in person than in pictures/videos. Absolutely stunning on the wrist. It wears classier than a lot of divers though it is for sure chunkier than your typical dress watch. Love it.

They need to make it 38mm

I want them to make a titanium eco drive version. The only black full lum eco drive that I have been able to find has a box shape that looks cool but I like the way this watch looks more

Diver myself here, and I tend to enjoy larger watches. This Rado automatic is a Super interesting piece, picked one up myself. It is a large watch with significant wrist presence , I'd say consider that it's 43mm and if you are comfortable wearing a larger watch. The bracelet is magnificent, missing some micro adjustment that would be useful. There's no lume on the bezel. Other than that, the dial is legible but given the design it is slightly harder to read. Admittedly, it's about the largest I'd ever wear on my 6.5inch wrist. This is a unique, standout design meant to be a statement, I don't feel it's the optimal diving watch, although it could perform the job I'm sure. But regardless, it's awesome! I think you need a personal style and other jewelry to pull this watch off , it's certainly not for everyone.

Ball’s biggest Achilles Heal has been their absurd design language. This one looks like a far more expensive version of Steinhart’s homage to the early 70s Explorer 2

3500 bucks for a GMT caliber, COSC, 200m water resistance and cool tritium lume. Sounds right to me. I've owned a Ball watch for two years now and it's solid and reliable.
@garythomas315021 күн бұрын
It’s actually a great proposition for the money. Swiss made COSC movement that is a travelers GMT, tritium lume, good looking high quality dial, mirror polishing, 200m water resistance, awesome heritage brand with a great story…. How much do you think that should cost? At $3,500 I think it competes well with Longines, and handily beats TAG., which would be the main two competitors in that price range.
@JetPilotCI21 күн бұрын
@Aaron-dt9pu whaaaat? For $500 more you can buy a Tudor BB GMT with an in-house movement that is leagues upon leagues superior, a bracelet that is miles better in form and function, and arguably better finishing overall! How does that make the ball with its off the shelf third party movement good value? The Tudor is superior in every way but only costs $500 more. The Ball in comparison is a terrible value proposition.

@@JetPilotCI 500 more dollars is quite a lot to some collectors. And I personally cannot stand the hour hand on Tudor's watches. Definitely agree on the bracelet though
