It had a lot of unfair newbie traps, I'll give you that. It's otherwise not difficult if you're aware of the worst offenders in advance. Treasure of the Rudras is pretty challenging, but it has waaay fewer unfair newbie traps. Basically just don't sell some magic resistant armors and you'll probably be fine. -C

Oh yeah, it helps make the Paris map feel less like a cave. Revision did a pretty good job with that.

NIMAP has no good solo violin and no acoustic guitar worth a damn. I'm not going to say no, but that it's highly unlikely. Any music we say isn't NIMAP-compatible but still uses a NIMAP instrument... assume the NIMAP instruments are in the same places. So you'd just have to import the new stuff, and NIMAP has a lot of empty space in it. Included this version in the video description along with the imported instruments. They're numbered by which slot we put them in, but if you wanted to use a different slot (like any of NIMAP's many open slots) then that's totally understandable. Importing instruments in Builder is pretty simple and I get why some people have hesitations around it. A NIMAP-compatible version ... might not be nearly this good but we'll give it a shot.

If the midi is provided, we'll have an attempt at it. There's been a few cases where we haven't been able to make something work because of it being too complicated (most of the Axas Rift music falls under this category). We'll probably turn down something that we have to add a lot to unless we *really* like it. We do have a standard instrument set that has more instruments than NIMAP does, but we try to use what FE8 provides as much as possible. Provide a link to the midi and we'll have a peek. -M

if it wasn't for it being 'bloated', both of us wouldn't have replayed it more times than I have the original game, just for all the silly bullshit in there. Loved the expanded environments, the super-saturated colors, and how the manhunt mode can make smaller maps waaaay scarier on harder difficulties

the FE5 soundtrack was overall kinda lackluster, but this and Leif's theme stole the show, easy

@@patch129 disagree. it ties with genealogy as my favorite FE music. Close to Victory and Eyvel's theme are bangers too. i think its only weakness is that there isn't a lot of music

@@dmas7749 Not disputing that those aren't good (and FE4's soundtrack was really good), just that there's a lot of forgettable stuff in FE5's that drags the soundtrack as a whole down IMO. I forgot the Lopto Sect theme was in FE5 for some reason and it's way louder than in FE4. -C

There's a lot of really great music from Eastern Europe that fits really well in a Fire Emblem romhack. This is definitely a really good map theme. We've converted Gruppa Krovi, And Lenin is Young Again, Katyusha, and have a few others in the works... stay tuned! Attached the .s file and all instruments added to the description.
