You know what, I wish the show had talked more about how Moon takes advantage of people's trust to spin a narrative making her the good guy, and how in the end Toffee, Eclipsa, and her family all paid for it.

No, Moon became the bad guy when she decided to go back on her deal with Eclipsa ( almost without trial no less, and if it weren’t for her finding out about Meteora, probably with a ridiculous kangaroo court no less given how the other members of the Magical High Commission handled it ), pointlessly vilify her with no evidence ( girl, you went up to Eclipsa and basically _begged_ her for a spell so volatile, that it can kill something that can’t normally die, and you’re _surprised_ it had corrupting effects? “I could feel the darkness” my as, you’re _extremely_ lucky that the worst thing that spell did was make your arms all cool and ourple and was seemingly otherwise completely harmless ), and even continued to do so even after learning Eclipsa mostly just wanted to be reunited with her daughter and husband. Granted, I’d hardly call either of them villains, but Eclipsa basically did nothing wrong other than try to live her life on her own terms, and Moon simply stubbornly refused to consider that she wasn’t this image of “evil” that the Magical High Commission was trying to paint her as, even after their agenda of baselessly discriminating against monster-kind was so severe that they erased an entire member of the Royal family from existence. Moon’s not really a bad guy, but, c’mon now, she made a _lot_ of very poor choices and was way too obnoxiously apathetic to Eclipsa and her struggles, despite herself being a mother.
