zt had the worst performance from there heat treatment from m390, 204p and 20cv. Often lower than 60rc.

If it wasn't speed safe id buy another one. Had one on 14c28n that the tip broke off easily and one in s30v that i still have but never use cause its speedsafe. Id use it more if it wasnt. Id guess with dlc on magnacut is going to be lower 60-62rc

Still have my first pm2. The earth brown g10 s35vn. And liked it so much I bought a spare in 19”. Wasn’t until 21” when I got “bit”, and now have 150 or so Spyderco knives. Latest purchase is a stretch XL g10 cruwear, $198. Shipped and only carried a few times. And the only ones I really want are a pm2 satin MagnaCut ,Crucarta manix 2 amd the police 4 lw burgundy pd#1 and that is it till I thin the heard a bit. Good stuff bud. 👍🏻

Older Spyderco models all had lower hardness than their current protocols. Each factory has its own heat treatment protocols unless stated otherwise in interviews or newsletters. Meaning the Italian models are usually low performing in comparison to the rest. For example Spyderco Taiwan does s90v at maximum 60rc and Spyderco USA maxes at 63rc. Where as Spyderco Taiwan m390 maxes at 60rc and Spyderco USA maxes at 62rc. Spyderco USA used to be max of 60rc a few years back.
