Yes very sad Richard Long died quite young. Thank you for the info.

Richard Long, Tom Bosley and Michael Constantine were all the same age - born in 1927. Long looked a lot younger.

that was funny.

Richard Long's daughter Valerie recently did an interview with Josh Mills on the Rarified Heir podcast. She talks about him filming this movie and why he did it, and about a lot of other things. It's a really good interview, 2 hours, worth listening to and you can break it up if you have to.

Gosh! A movie with a plot, a twist and no gratuitous violence. Astonishingly pleasant. Thanks for the wonderful post.

Celeste Holm was the original "Ado Annie" in Oklahoma, singing, "I'm Just a Girl Who Can't Say No." Picture that!

This is a very good movie. Yes, it has Agatha Christie overtones but not overly so. Thanks.

It's like an weird version of the Love Boat, but with murders, lol! Not bad. But in the end, if he couldn't prove the guy was the killer, how is going to prove she had anything at all to do with it? I would like to think she got away with it, just for the heck of it, plus I am a big fan of Kate Jackson.
@MLBrooks-g3u8 күн бұрын
Usually on these things, the guilty person confesses. Long did, but Jackson did not! She might actually get away with it if she (no pun intended) sticks to her guns and says she just killed the murderer of her husband to keep him from killing Constantine.

More like the tv show The Love Boat
@MLBrooks-g3u10 күн бұрын
Not exactly. This is the UnLove Boat. None of these marriages was happy, and when Kate Jackson says everyone was selfish and insensitive, she was right. But the unlikeable characters helped make this more interesting.
@MLBrooks-g3u13 күн бұрын
Isn't Kate Jackson the only one left living from this film?

And the director, Ralph Senensky.

@@Maria-z3mp Senensky has a blog. He's over 100 now and I'm not sure he keeps the blog up, but he discusses this film and a lot of other things he directed. It is a very good seminar on directing.

This movie makes no sense at all. So many people dead all for just one million Dollars?! And at the end she is all alone. No husband, no lover.... Really stupid
@MLBrooks-g3u18 күн бұрын
One million in 1974 is about the same as 7 million or so today. It would be easy to get a love with that $$r, especially if you looked like her.

@annettel3314 That's the #1 reason people go on cruises. Many packages include free booze. It's also another reason you have people falling off the boat. People under the influence don't realize what they are doing, lose their inhibitions and their balance. My coworker told me some stories from the cruise she took with her daughter. She never went on another one. I've only been on a river cruise which was quite nice, not as wild.

Lady, you better wake up life is too short. You don’t know how long you’re gonna have your spouse. I lost mine two years ago. We were together for 52 years and I am so lonely and lost spend as much time as you can with your companion and your spouse cause he could die tonight or you could die tonight and then that’s where would you be then Like he said the kids has got their life they’ve got their spouses and just remember one important thing you had to have him to have those children my mother asked me once if I loved my husband more or my kids more and I looked at her and I said my husbandbecause I had to have my husband to get my awesome kids
