Bagpuss is like no other series that was around then it’s one of its kind it just has a magical charm by itself.

And the decay of the instrument is beautiful too.

The sound of the autoharp instrument playing the up and down notes when the characters are waking up and going back to sleep always sounds so strangely nostalgic and quite mysterious maybe not dark but always certainly mysterious sounding.

I first seen Bagpuss back in 1979 when i was 4-5 years old. but its funny the end always made feel very lachrymose. and now i am an adult the end effects me even more. like Bapuss i have beoome old and raggety about the seems. My mum, dad, brother all have left me and now i am all on my own in the world. And like Bagpuss when i dream i dream of times gone pass when i wasn't so alone I wsh now i had an old rag doll like Bagpuss to hug to give me some succour in these lonely years. as i have no wife and children. i never though i would reach this age without a wife and family. but there you go. but like Bagpuss i know life will be good again some day. and like him i dream of better days..
