How loud was it at Cloud 9? I am hoping that cloud 9 is quieter and it has the comfy chairs. I hate that balconies don’t have lounge chairs to really relax so I would rather go with interior and find a “quiet space” on the pool decks or solarium (plus closer to the bars). Can’t wait to try icon #Spring Break 2025!

Cloud 9 was definitely the quietest area of the pool deck! You could still hear the people and the music, but it wasn't as loud. We'd also really recommend The Overlook for a quiet hangout spot. It's located at the front of the ship behind the AquaDome; it has beautiful full windows to watch the water and lots of comfy chairs/loungers. It's super quiet there (unless the aqua theater show is going obviously!) and we found it to be not too crowded during the daytime. You're going to have an amazing time! Icon is the BEST in our opinions!

Love the star gazing idea. On ship that you can go to the front, you can star gaze. Holland American had a deck that was high up and relatively free from lights that you could star gaze but that was years ago. Now all the top decks are way too bright. 😢

That's such a great idea! We'll have to try out the helipad during our next cruise to see if we can get a clearer view of the stars. That Holland America thing sounds really cool - what a bummer more ships don't offer it! That'd be such a cool offering in places like Norway or Alaska!

I assume you didn't have the dining package? I ask because i watch so many cruise videos its hard to keep up what someone bought or didn't bought. If you did buy it, can you explain about this $20 credit? Some people have told me its per day and others say per restaurant per day. So you can use up to $20 at Playmakers then use another $20 else where.

Nope, we didn't have the dining package and we've never used it before either. I'm sure you could find answers on the RC website or maybe the Royal Caribbean Blog has posts or videos about the different packages. Sorry we can't answer your question! Maybe in the future we'll try a dining package!

Talking about Toronto. Taylor Swift is doing her concert here at the Rogers Centre. They will be hosting a Wrestling event here soon as well. I dont listen to Taylor Swift. But i saw so many live streams showing up. I guess Taylor has no issues people making money off a live stream of her show?

Yes! She's there this weekend, right? It's awesome she's there for so many shows! I think she's just embraced her virtual fan base with those livestreams. In this day and age there's probably not too much they can do to stop it, so she might as well embrace it and appreciate her fans! She's mentioned it during her shows a few times and thanked everyone watching there in person or at home. Kinda cute!

Why is there a starbucks at pearl cafe but then there is a starbucks else where. What is the differences? Seems the same to me except one charges you and the other one doesn't which i assume you need the drink package to get that kind of coffee at pearl cafe?

The Starbucks coffee served at Pearl Cafe (or Cafe Promenade on other ships) is proudly serving Starbucks and not actual Starbucks. From my understanding, they provide the coffee beans for the cafe to use but that's about it. The actual Starbucks that's separate on some of the ships is a real Starbucks. The staff are trained by Starbucks, they get all the Starbucks materials (syrups, beans, tea, merch, food, etc.) and the original Starbucks recipes. The coffee at Pearl Cafe or Cafe Promenade can be purchased with a drink package I think. Not the drinks/food from the real Starbucks. We prefer the real Starbucks personally - just our choice and worth the extra cost in our opinion!

Thanks for the question! I think we talked about this in the St Thomas video. We decided we really wanted to stay on and explore this new ship on this cruise. We've been lucky to explore some of the Virgin Islands on a previous trip and our last vacation was a heavily guided trip. We liked being independent and fully on our own just relaxing on the ship for our vacay. We agree that St Kitts is a beautiful island!

I never been on a cruise but I hope my friend can book one for March 2026 on the Icon of the Seas. I also hope to save my share of the money for everything such as the cruise cabin and all the extra addons.
