It's just a bit bigger than the 1/18th Mojave Grom. I think what people need to keep in mind is, with RC cars, scale is relative. But, can't wait to take my new HBX 3100a for a spin. Nice short, thanks.

You can snip the battery wires and put whatever end on for your 2s batteries gives it a little more ability but in the long rum you'll need a new escape transmitter

I got mine two days ago and I really like it. It’s one of the 20 or so RC I got in the last few weeks. Yes I know a little overdone lol I got five of them delivered yesterday alone trying to do not reviews on them, but just simple videos on them, but I’m just getting into the hobby now.

I’ll have to double check. I know their 1/18 scale vehicles have slow and fast mode.

Only 2S. Depending on hard you run it, 15-20min on 2S has been my experience.

I miss racing those old school rj speed style on road pan cars and the asphalt oval track pan cup cars eith the offset pan car chassis. O isr to race this exact rh speed car and body when i was 10back in 2002 woth the version they had then the newest version and man was it fast as heck and wpuld out run all the other higj dollar pan cars in the same class wo. Tons of races with it. And we used the dynamite 20turn brushed motors with a Ni-Cd pack where you find the bestat hing cells then had to solder the cells together then use battery wrap to make it a solod battery pack cause the store bought nicd or NiMh packs wasnt equalized and wasnt really matched well which led to battery dieing before race was over and bot getting the moat amount of amps out of the size pack we was allowed to run in each class so when you built ypur own you could also cycle the batteries and get them to put out the most amlint of power and last longer and the motors played huhe part depe ds hpw ypu break them in and if you bought the right one cause they was all dofferent power wise and still are so i would have one motor for qualifying cause the heat races was only 2 mins long so i broke it in bt spinning it backwards in water to cut the brushes and make the most amlibt of power but wpuld also kill the bsttery fast then my race motor was broken in lanp oil and spun backwaords with a AA battery taped to the wires and let it run for a good 2 hoirs like that and also we would buy 20-30 motors all at once to find the right ones with the most power and efficency from factory

Looks really nice! Are those aftermarket wheels, they look pretty big for a buggy! Looks like lots of fun on the ground, I can imagine it'll be fun in the air, too!

How has your differentials held up? I’ve read a lot of people stripping and breaking theirs. Was looking into the truck but a bit worried.

Awesome! Looks to be the RC10 T body from Jconcepts, correct? If so, were there any mods to make it fit on a T4? I have a T4 that needs a good looking body, even though I know they make other version. I just like this one in particular!

Hard to say. It’s a tad bigger than my old Helion Animus SC which was 1/18 scale. It’s almost on par, in terms of scale, with the FMS Jimny which is 1/12… so it’s probably close to 1/14! Lol

It really does. I switched up my shock mounting points to the alternate locations, it reduced the body roll, and now it really handles awesome. I wish the rear shocks had slightly slower rebound, but as is, it’s an awesome truck!

@@The_Jet_Truggy I love my 3100a but it’s not that good on dirt, I even switched the stock tires to traxxas but I didn’t see much improvement. What if you remove the foam just like with crawlers? Please shoot an instructional on how to do that mod 🙏.

@@The_Jet_Truggywhen I got home I realized that one of the front tires was wobbly so I fixed it. Hopefully that was the problem. I was running it on a hiking trail at a park so it was pretty packed dirt.

I love mine. Money well spent. It's a neat and quick little truck right out of the box. Haven't tried 3s yet. Don't know if I will. But definitely going to upgrade the battery. She loves anything loose.

I’ve only run mine on 2S as well. I did pull the little strip out foam out of the battery tray and fit a larger 2S battery, though. The battery from the HBX 2997A fits like a glove! They are awesome little trucks though, I agree!!

@@The_Jet_Truggy I'm still using the stock battery that came with it. The urgenex 7.4 2200 mah 50c battery is supposed to fit good in the truck to. I'm going to try them out soon.

Looks really nice and compliant! Finally a small scale trophy/stadium truck with realistic suspension/axle setup, not just a trophy truck shell on a buggy chassis. A bit like a mini-UDR :) Quite high on my wishlist!

I love it!! It was so much fun to rip around. Very challenging to shoot content, as the camera has to be in the dirt if you want the best action! It’s fast, it’s smooth, the suspension is buttery, it handles bumps and jumps really well. I found myself really having to roll into my throttle, even on 2S, just to get the power down, but once you’re rolling, it’s super easy to hit WOT and maintain control. I really fell in love with this truck today. I love the look and I love the performance!! It’s bad ass! 🤘🏻🏁

Oh, nice to hear someone pronounce the brand name right! It's a cool truck, they keep making them better each time a new version comes out! I have the Flyhal on same chassis, it's a cool machine.

I own the 903a brushless and the truck is a lot of fun. My only complaint is that its not as fast as advertised. My max speed is 20-23 mph. I am pretty new to electric RC trucks (I used to run all nitro 20+ years ago) but am looking to upgrade the motor/esc for 3s+ batteries. I am not able to find anyone who has upgraded the motor in the 903a yet. Do you have any suggestions?

I would be cautious upgrading the motor and adding power. I’ve torn up the stock differentials and driveshaft gears with the factory motor. I don’t know that the truck could handle more power; at least until they offer upgraded, hardened gears for this truck…
