@@RX7800XTBenchmarks I am not sure what you mean, but in this video the res doesnt look good, it looks like you scaled your fov to -100 if that makes sense. I have nothing against amd, its just not possible to experience PT/RT at native res on such a card or any amd card really,that being said the raster performance of this gpu at native is very good, I am building a new rig with it this month :) Also search for : RDNA 3 Optimization Mod for PathTracing - RayTracing on google.

@@Chimera_0990tfr hmm..that's a tricky one. $100 dollars is still quite a difference. If we are talking about no overclocking and just out of the box performance, then I'll go 7800xt. But with a overclock I will probably lean towards the GRE. A overclock can get you to trade blows with a 4070 ti super nevermind the regular 4070 ti. I would say a good model GRE. I am happy with my 7800xt and with my overclock, but I did wish I could have a little bit more RT performance, and a GRE fully overclocked would give me that. I think a fully overclocked GRE is still 10-15% faster than my overclocked 7800xt.

@@davidfg2917 at 1200p xess quality, I get 40fps AVG. So, at 1080p I would be getting much more than 26 fps. I can't speak on what other people or channels get. My RT performance is better than what I've seen from KZbinrs that own AMD cards. Most of these KZbinrs are being gifted free Nvidia cards and I won't be surprised if they try to maintain their freebies by downplaying certain performances from other brands. Mostly positive reviews mainly cover Nvidia cards I believe. There's a lot of misinformation regarding AMD RT performances.

@@RX7800XTBenchmarks Nah, dude, when I was using 7600xt, my RT performance in cyberpunk was abysmal (RT, NOT PT). I’d been getting around 30-40 fps with fsr set to balanced at 1080p with rt preset on ultra. So I honestly ain’t got a clue how your performance is so drastically different from mine or from that guy's benchmark video. I mean, you can clearly see in his video that 7800xt can’t even maintain a stable 30 fps with pt enabled with fsr set to quality at 1080p. Amd cards are really bad (to put it lightly) at RT performance. However, I also gotta admit that AMD cards (especially cards like 7700xt in comparison to 4060 Ti) have much better value (can’t say the same about high-end cards, though). Pretty much the only reason why people buy AMD is because of their relatively low price compared to NVIDIA offerings. For me, anything that’s below 4070 (low end) on the NVIDIA side is simply not worth buying, but when it comes to NVIDIA’s mid-high-end cards, I’d pick them over AMD almost every day of the week, due to them being much more technologically advanced and having more features. Sony made their own AI upscaling technology simply because of the inability of FSR to provide a good experience while using it.

Update the drivers, the performance will be much better, before update the game performance is not stable and always low fps with lower power consumption which is more likely "bottleneck".

@@krosh8982 if you are playing on low settings, then you are getting bottlenecked. The 2070 won't be bottlenecked by the 5700x, so FPS won't fluctuate as much. Maybe, try using higher settings or resolution and try vsync to see if you get a consistent/smoother experience.

@@damnman2862 thank you. I have the same model, 7800xt gigabyte oc model. I have a regular case, Cyberpower Blaze Mid Tower Case. I temps depends on what fan settings I choose to use. For a heavy oc setting I would set the fans to maximum power. But my temps are usually between 50-55.

@@sevans1596 the higher your monitor refresh rate the better experience you will have. I have a 165hz monitor, so I couldn't notice screen tearing or that much jitter when panning the camera. I think this specific game, afmf2 performs pretty well. I did not notice much latency with afmf2 by itself, so much so that I could also use fsr3 in combination. The latency with both is still not bad, especially on a controller.

@@sevans1596 yh I think you should stay on the recent updated drivers, because It is a lot of hassle to use ddu/AMD clean up. Also, the game will have fsr3.1 FG officially implemented. But personally I am enjoying afmf2 preview driver because there are games without official fsr3 fg officially implemented, so afmf2 is a good alternative imo.

I use afmf for every games on rx6600xt, work perfectly fine, and dont try preview drivers if you dont know anything.

@@massterwushu9699 7900gre. Get a good model like nitro+ or Asus tuf oc model. Then manually overclock it, you will have it trading blows with a 4070ti super, and RT performance is not bad, only path tracing is difficult. But I would take 16gb vram, similar 4070 ti super performance for $500-$550. A bargain imo.

@@Chimera_0990tfr I would say it is around the 7900gre nitro+ , which is 3% slower than the 4070ti at 1440p (tech power up). But then you could oc the 7900gre nitro to trade blows with the 4070 ti super. In raster + FG, I'm beating the 4070 ti, even with FG enabled on the 4070ti. My normal oc settings are : 2802 min, 5000 max, 15% power, 2614 memory, 975 MV. Some games I have to adjust the voltage. 7800XT gigabyte oc model.

@@Chimera_0990tfr Shockingly, the latency is not bad at all. I'm not sure what to compare it to, but it didn't feel like 2 different frame generation was being used. I could easily play with both until I completely finished the game with a mouse and keyboard. On a controller the ratio is built differently, and I was struggling to notice a significant difference between having just one FG enabled as apposed to two.

If you play at 60fps then use afmf2 it will around 20-30ms which is same when you play at 60fps, dont worry because you never notice it, only if you play at 30fps and use afmf2 the latency will be high like crazy. Check the frame gen lag.

A regular 4070?...I can't recommend 12gb cards. But if I had to choose a 12gb card it would be 4070 super or a 4070 ti on a good deal. The regular 4070 is not better than the 7800xt. Regular RT both are similar, but the 4070 does better with Path tracing. Dlss is good, better than FSR. It depends on your personal needs. I have my 7800xt tuned to my liking and really the regular 4070 doesn't stand a chance apart from Path tracing. But, it's still a good choice when using dlss and frame generation. You'll be happy gaming whatever you choose.

@@adonizss overall, I think you will be satisfied. If you can't play at 1440p with Path tracing, then you could also use 1080p or 1200p. It also depends on how much the 4070 cost. If it is $100 difference, then I would get the regular 4070 over the 4070 super. Ray tracing is very similar, only non RT, the super is a little faster. The 7900 gre is just the better buy over the 4070 in my opinion. You can overclock it to challenge the 4070 TI super in regular rasterization, you can also play at 4k and use frame generation if you want, without worrying about vram issues. 3-4 years is quite a long time, but you have dlss which is a good upscaler.

@@drizzith0 these are video games. Nothing is real. The characters are not real, the trees are not real. When you use upscalers at 1080p, 1440p or 4k, then you are not playing at those Real resolutions. When you watch cartoons/anime, those are not real, when you watch movies, those are not real. This is all a form of entertainment. Frame generation is a subjective and optional feature. If you don't want to use it, then the option not to use it is available. It definitely doesn't feel horrible to me, less than 10ms is added to the latency, which is 100% playable. This is not a competitive game.

@@adonizss just tried the settings in Wukong. 😭 It wasn't playable my friend, took much visual flaws in movement. The other games are fine. No real issue imo. But Wukong is biased in favour of Nvidia cards. Even Nvidia cards are struggling with RT.

@@dhruv8124 🤣 I think the next generation of GPUs will be better suited to handle UE5. Everything now is geared to using upscaling and Frame generation. This game runs okay for the most part, considering AMD hasn't released an official game ready driver, lumen RT is baked into the game, Nvidia sponsored and crappy UE5 optimization. I'm actually quite happy with the overall experience on my 7800xt. I've chosen to play at 4k High with FG and I'm getting consistent 100fps, I can't really argue with that. I

@@johnspencer8982 I feel like they could have added more enemies in between the bosses. There wasn't many enemies in this scene tbh and they die after couple hits , the FPS would have stayed roughly the same because it is a dense vegetational area. Game is solid though imo.

@@argelisgonzalez5009 use my timestamps and you will see flickering on the character when moving the camera when using Lossless. There is no flickering on AFMF2. But, For the most part there is not a lot of difference. Dependant on the game and the scene, visual flaws can go either way. Afmf2 latency is far better, and it is more convenient than lossless. If you are an AMD user I don't see a reason to spend $7 for something similar that you get for free. Imo, AFMF2 is better overall, better latency and I can use it in full screen, use HDR, can use a performance overlay. Both are good alternatives if there is no official FG in games.

​@@argelisgonzalez5009 That is strange. I don't have battlefield anymore, but I am currently re-downloading it to see if I get the same issue. Using the AMD overlay, can you see if your FPS is doubled? ...and does the frame generation part on the overlay say "NA" or is there a number value?...if it says NA then AFMF is not enabled. Also, you might have to add the game file to adrenaline manually. Sometimes AFMF will say active but in fact it is active in something else and not actually in-game. It's weird, but it has happened to me in other games, but once I added the game file manually to adrenaline then it was okay. I'm waiting for it to download, then I will have a better idea of what is the issue.

@@PenX79 you can't get banned over frame generation. Anti lag + had issues before , but that has been sorted. Frame generation is also officially in warzone, so frame generation is fine to use in competitive games.

@@andersonperes4184 you can achieve 60 or above using 1440p quality mode/balance mode with high/very high settings. If you don't like upscalers, then your best bet is to use Native 1440p high preset or custom resolution of 1200p native high or very high preset. Personally, I don't mind using FG because I'm using a controller and the input lag is non existent imo. I will try to put out a video with NO Frame generation, and you can see what is best for you.

​@@qweasd-xf5pv we all have different tolerance levels. In my opinion the visual quality is not bad at all. The main flaws are actually coming from the upscaler. The only issue I see is there is ghosting when moving the camera quickly around the character, but I don't play games in that way, so it's not a main issue for me. I would suggest using TSR instead of FSR though.

​@@qweasd-xf5pv I would also suggest playing the video in 0.25x speed, this will allow you to bypass KZbin compression a bit more, and you will be able to see any "flaws" more easier. In 0.25x speed I still couldn't see any crazy visual flaws that would affect me significantly.

@@RDVGAMER888 if Ray Tracing/path tracing is important to you, then I would try to get a 4070 super if it is similar price. But I don't like to recommend 12 GB cards. There is more longevity with AMD cards imo. I have a good model 7800xt and overclocked, so I love the performance I'm getting.

@@RDVGAMER888 it depends, the 4070 is better at path tracing. Normal Ray tracing they are about the same. Dlss upscaling is better than FSR, but you can use xess instead of fsr on the 7800xt. AMD Frame generation produces more FPS on AMD hardware, which destroys the 4070. 7800xt is a better overclocker also. You can get a comparable performance to a 4070 ti with a overclock for under £500. More vram, which helps if you want to experience 4k more smoothly. Personally, I don't care about Dlss, because I can use FG on top of native instead of dropping my resolution. Latency is not a issue because I use a controller. 7800xt also has driver level Frame generation, which the new version is greatly improved and will get better , because right now it is in preview/ beta. Personally, I would get a good model 7800xt, not a reference model. I don't recommend 12gb cards, but if you do want better path tracing and upscaling is important to you, then I think a 4070 Super would be better buy than a regular 4070. 4070 super has similar raster performance to the 7800xt, but better RT, but less vram.

@@halsaufschneider1446 🤣.. I just like this aspect ratio, just a personal choice, looks good on a 55 inch screen. I'm getting over 100 FPS AVG at 16:9 2560x1440p, so it really doesn't matter. Cdpr has been getting bullied by Nvidia, so AMD had to come up with a viable alternative to official fsr3 fg implementation. Afmf2 works well enough.

@@tuna-m6b There was a few stutters, but mainly after a cut scene. This game is just like that with and without FG. Afmf2 works great though, only a little ghosting on the cross hair when moving the camera quickly. Not really a issue for me personally. 👍

I have a 55 inch 4k display, so I set the aspect ratio to Full. It looks good on a big screen. If you are on a smaller screen/monitor just set the aspect ratio to "Full", and that will fill your display and remove the black bars at the sides. Everything is a little bigger than 2056x1440p, which I like . Also extra FPS 😁
