I was stuck on the Selfie Video Identification step, despite receiving the two OTPs. The page wouldn't load the video capture screen, and I couldn't proceed. Unfortunately, none of the suggested solutions here worked for me. *However, I'm grateful to have contacted weberethics who expertly assisted me in resolving the issue*

I've watched 26 other tutorials to learn how to use my Nikon D7100, as someone who's hardly ever held a camera before. Yours is by far the best one. Thank you!

Thank you. Finally, I found how to do only b/w 35mm negatives!!!! I have about 300 images to scan and I had better get a pot of coffee ready before I begin. I did this before with the 35mm color slides but have forgotten how I did it. This was easy to follow and looked much easier than I remember, that's why I have avoided tackling this project. My negatives are over 40 years old from Japan. They have just resurfaced. :)

I bought my d7100 a month ago. Only 5k actuations for 420.00 NZ ....thats about 280.00 US. This tutorial has been a real boost to my confidence. Ive bought two extra lenses and have been shooting some macro pics. (even doing some experimental focus stacking.) Lots of fun. David in New Zealand Love the tutorial!!!!

Hi Dave .. Just started doing Moon shot photography and i own a Canon 5D with a Canon 100 x 400 mm lens so a good starting point is 1 /100 - f/11 ISO 100 and that cloudy setting seems good and i will be using faithful under picture style and see how it goes .

I inherited a D7100 recently and gave up on trying to read the manual. Almost went back to my old point-and-shoot, but then discovered this tutorial. This is exactly what I needed! You've renewed my interest in putting this wonderful, awesome camera to work, and with an overseas trip in my near future, the timing was perfect! I'll be subscribing and seeking out your other videos in the hopes of really learning what this camera can do. Thank you!

My question is for a D7000 so not a huge difference and I hope that you might be able to answer my question. How do I replay videos on the back of the camera? Is this possible? If so, just what do I do to take a video (I can do this, I think, not entirely sure) and the difficulty is replaying the recorded video on the camera or do I need to connect it to a device (pc/laptop/tablet et al) as the only way? if you can answer my question, or even deem it within your purview. I would be most grateful if you choose to answer this question and hope that you do and that it is not too difficult for you to do so. - Mark, Australia.

Hi Skinny, when you have recorded a video, just push the play button on the back of the camera, in the same way as you would to view a photo. If you now press the 'OK' button the video will play. You should also see options on the screen to 'Pause, Stop, Rewind etc.' I have another video on video recording, here's the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIfGc36Mbqmdnrssi=Y6F1TuZlt01LEAAG Thanks for watching, have fun, Dave.

The two photos clearly demonstrate the importance of the scene to start with. The Adams photo with the clouds provides a far more dramatic image, regardless of how much processing is done on the "new" image.. As the old saying went, all you need for a great photo is "F8 and be there [at the right time/place]"

Thanks for such an exhaustive review. I wonder now if my SC-17 flash gun sync cord (which I've had since the 90's) which I've used on my Nikon F90/N90s and other F's will work on my D7100?
@ThePhotoShow8 ай бұрын
Hi, massive thank you for watching. Your SC-17 cable should work just fine. I have used an adaptor on the D7100 for my Metz flash. Have fun, Dave.

digitally you won't be able to create the delicately feathered and seamless burning and dodging that Adams accomplished in the darkroom. He mapped his D&B plan with seconds in each area, creating a special tool for each negative. on digital manipulation you will have to use masks and they will have edges.

I just came across this video series. I wish I had found it sooner (A LOT SOONER, like 8 years ago sooner). I realize it's been 8 years, but I have a question regarding the PV button. Can you help explain the set up? My PV button does nothing. I've tried reading the manual, yeah right!! Your video shows me where it is, what it is supposed to do, but not how to set it up. When I look in the view finder nothing changes. I've looked at the LCD screen and nothing changes there either. The 'Info" button lets me change a bunch of settings but I still can't figure out how to make it preview the look of the current aperture setting. Please help me if you can, thank you, thank you, thank you!!
@ThePhotoShow9 ай бұрын
Hi Lauri, To be honest, you'll probably never need to use the PV button. When you look through the viewfinder it is usually showing you the view through the lens with a wide aperture setting, allowing you to see the same as your eyes do. The PV button will shut the lens down to it's current aperture, letting less light through. If your aperture is set wide i.e. f2.8 or lower you will not see any difference when you push the button. To see it working, have the camera on Manual and set your aperture to something like f11/f16. Now when you press the PV button the viewfinder should appear to darken. If you use the rear LCD screen for 'live view' that will show the image with any aperture settings applied. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching, Dave.
