We are keeping Chag HaMatzot now according to the new moon and aviv barley. Praying Yehovah’s Kingdom come.

Seems a little odd to me to hear two Jewish cantors singing a Christian negro spiritual.

I want to comment on the wonderful bat mitzvah of Natalie. The Blue Moon that is today is a rare occurrence. Natalie received the Tallis that was given to her grandfather on the occasion of his bar mitzvah in 1944. It was also a blue moon and the most recent blue moon to this day. I do not know if there is a connection between the blue threads and a blue moon and how often it is on Shabbat. To me, it was a special connection to her outstanding Bat Mitzvah.

I loved the message about "HOME". It was really beautiful, in that it gave useful personal insights and experiences. As someone who has had a background in theology and religious studies, i tend to feel nauseated by too 'positive' or too 'tenderised' sounding messages and voices that can really water down special or complex moments. Okay! "Nauseated" sounds a bit too much and possibly unkind. There is just a sense of pretentiousness that usually falls down on you, and too often, it turns out that nausea feeling, was some how warning you of a possibly dangerous situation. Today's message reminded me of a poem titled "Home" by Warsan Shire. One line says "No one leaves home, unless home is a mouth of a shark" -- She paints horrific images from experiences she heard from immigrants while working at a deportation centre. She tell of experiences that, perhaps words such as "immigrant" cannot begin to express who the people are, and what they have been through. Lastly, I wanted to find out, how come everyone sounds excellent. It is my second time listening, and all of you sound classically trained, so professional and proficient. Lol I am not even Jewish, but this was very good.
