is it me, or does it unmuddy things a bit??. it removes low end and pushes the mid a bit more to my ears without pushing the amp. the left side does, dynamic overdrive.

In my opinion, Steve Lukather is the best guitarist on the planet and I'd give a kidney to meet him one day

He was talking about odd lineups for shows. The biggest odd lineup I witnessed was, 1st band Type o Negative, 2nd band Kings X, Headliner Motley Crue.

Eloquent, unpretentious, and insightful. Thanks for the thoughtful peek behind the veil. I especially loved the talk about different songwriting/performance approaches. Keep the magic flowing, Nels! And great work, ToneConcepts! Cheers! ♥️

Very intelligent and lucid. Jerry Garcia was also such.
@kidcoastless85754 жыл бұрын
I find it quite funny you mention this, as my father's favorite guitarist of all time was Jerry Garcia, and mine is Nels. We had recently talked about how similar Wilco can be occasionally to the Grateful Dead, so your comment certainly brings a smile in regards to that!

This dude is at another level man!! This is what guitar was invented for. This days everybody plays guitar like they play bass. Fast one note on one string at the thine. Everybody plays like SRV. No harmonies fast simple three chords pentatonic liks. If you know one of his liks you know them all. Me included.

A huge thank you for getting an actual musician to demo this pedal - someone who understands that “guitar pedal” doesn’t automatically mean “distortion from hell”. I almost blew off this pedal because of all the dirt-stortion demos, but after watching this, now I’m genuinely interested in seeing how it can enhance my clean-ish sound. 😎

So strange, I did some guitar lessons with you Eamonn years back. I'm heavily influenced by Skolnick now, and I always remembered you saying you met the guitar player from Testament and telling me how good he was, you had a photo with him. And here I am now, at 3.30am watching a Skolnick interview, and see your name in a comment below! lol small world.

I am so excited to get my pedal soon ! I already have an idea for its first live performance at a Christmas public concert I am playing in. I will start with a small sonic landscape then segue into a never before heard interpretation of an early Dylan song !

@toneconcepts8 жыл бұрын
Hello, Ivan. You can purchase the GOO Limited Edition 2016 pre-order directly from our website www.toneconcepts.com/goo European dealers will not likely receive any units until the 2017 production run. Thank you for your interest.
@medusinator8 жыл бұрын
Hi ToneConcepts, thank you for answering! Will there be significant differences between the production run and the limited edition in terms of sound?
@toneconcepts8 жыл бұрын
We are focused on the Limited Edition at present (which will include a couple of extras in the circuit along with GHS BOOMERS, Signed certificate from Nels, some swag goodies, etc.). Production for the 2017 version will only commence in January so if you are interested in a GOO it is probably safest to purchase one now. We are now in production of the pre-orders and aim to start shipping in late October. Nels will sign the certificates when he's back from South America with Wilco in mid October.
@medusinator8 жыл бұрын
That sounds great. My only concern is paying customs, which in my home country is a pretty big deal as it adds 30% of the original price. Still, the tone is amazing, and I might look into getting a little help from my friends. :)
@toneconcepts8 жыл бұрын
Where are you located? I'll let you know about our buyers' experiences. We've shipped worldwide and many countries in Europe. Thank you.

Hello Andy, The guitar Alex is playing is his ESP Alex Skolnick Signature. There are two versions. An ESP Custom Shop model Made in Japan and a Made in Korea LTD model. Both are excellent. Thank you for your interest in our videos. Check Alex's guitars our on the ESP website. www.espguitars.com/products?categories=alex-skolnick
