It is evident that they have little awareness of the events unfolding in the northern regions affecting their fellow countrymen. I am sincerely curious about the potential outcome if Saad Barra did not destroy Hargesia, Burco, and Berbera as part of his attempt to completely ethnically cleanse the entire northern population, who simple wanted the targeted killings and violences on the populations to end in Somaliland. What saddens me the most is that the south fails to acknowledge that the Somali civil war did not begin in 1991, but had actually started in 1986/1988 in the north and gradually reached the southern regions in the 1990s. For the sake of future generations, I hope they are spared from the horrors of the past and do not have to endure a similar sufferings as their previous generations did.
