This is so good. Because it seems counterintuitive to continue to fuel if training is decreased. But thinking about the needs for healing and inflammation recovery. Thanks again for making us think in a different way. 😊

Anecdotally, I found the carnivore diet after being chronically constipated for over a decade, and finally having major symptoms of ulcerative colitis. I had eaten clean and gluten free for years… tons of veggies, extra fiber, etc. I resorted to drinking laxative tea every day for years, and then moving to an extra strength aloe vera supplements in order to just “function”, if you know what I mean. After a long time, I went down the KZbin rabbit hole researching keto and found carnivore. I looked into it for 6 months before my symptoms got so bad that I said, “screw it, I’ve tried everything else… Why not this?” (Everything else being… cutting out dairy for a while, gluten-free for years, adding in digestive enzymes, probiotics, extra fiber… going in for MULTIPLE hydrotherapy (colonics) sessions… You name it. I even cut out meat for a short time, but I felt horrible.) After 3 days of eating only meat and eggs (and stopping the laxatives), I became “regular”. It totally changed my life. So for ME, fiber had been doing the opposite of what we’ve been taught our whole lives it should do (bathroom-wise). Everyone is so different, and it took me over 10 years to figure out what works for me. That was about 6 years ago that I started it. I was super strict for about a year, then started adding in one thing at a time and I seemed to be fine. (Basically I thought my body had just done a “reset”.) From there I got a little too liberal with what I was consuming… basically going back to a “regular” clean diet. After about a year I started getting skin rashes and dandruff. I knew what I needed to do, so I went back carnivore and the dandruff literally cleared up after one day. So, I know what I need to do to feel OPTIMAL. Do I adhere 100% 100% of the time? No. But I’m 90% animal based now and it works for me. Just wanted to give that experience to give insight on when it’s been applied. Thanks for all of y’all’s work! 🙏🏻

Love these podcasts!! Also I've been taking 1st Phorms creatine when I go to the gym 3 days a week with my post workout stack. Should I be taking it the other days where I'm not lifting heavy? By what I'm hearing I should be taking it every day. I'm 60 years old I'm 5'1" & I'm at 136 now & my goal is 130. I started my journey with 1st Phorm at 191 I'm so thankful for this program!!

Great work on what you're doing now! Research suggests that taking creatine supplements daily may help keep your muscles and bones healthy as you age. Start with as little as 3-5g each day you will be in a great spot!
