A lot of people find the song sad but I’ve always found it to be tranquil in that sitting outside by yourself and just having a moment to not have to think about anything. it's insane to think that it has been 5+ years since the release of Octo expansion. I remember the day I went feral asking my mom to get it for me and being so excited to finally beat the game and get to be an octoling. Those were the good days.

I find it interesting how after all these years the feeling I get when I listen to this song hasn't changed. This song to me just makes me feel alone. In the game you're never really around anyone like you and you're having to fight your own species that some might consider having a fate worse than death. While Pearl and Marina are there to talk to you it never really feels like they're there. Looking at the maps of each area and staring off into the distance to see things that other people in the past left behind adds something to the song for me. You're the only one really here seeing all of this. The others, the enemies you're fighting, probably aren't even themselves anymore making you feel even more alone. Anyway the song slaps 10/10

idk whats up with this song but its weirdly addicting although it literally reminds me of how shitty i actually feel and my depression.
