I'm not sure exactly what pieces you're talking about. I kind of packed away what I didn't use. There is a cylinder piece like this one with a handle on it and I think it is for icing cakes so it probably has some sort of a tip that goes on it. I don't know where I stored the rest of the pieces. LOL sorry!

You turn the black handle top several times while holding the cookie press in place - watch to get enough dough to come out of the bottom so that when you lift the press, the cookie will stay on the ungreased cookie sheet.

I had a device like this 50 years ago and everything worked great. In the meantime, I moved several apartments and got divorced and the device disappeared for some reason. Two weeks ago I bought a very similar device and the cookies did not want to part with the device. I don't like to use butter or margarine and I put oil. Maybe because of that? At my age, I should only use margarine or oil. The recipe used to be 1 package of margarine (200 g) 1 cup of sugar 1 egg 350 g flour + baking powder (10 g). A little vanilla extract They always turned out so well that I made large quantities and sent them to my husband who was in the army and his friends liked it very much. Today I don't even put an egg, instead 1/2 cup of orange juice and the zest of the orange + flour and sugar with a little vanilla extract and when I made balls by hand and flattened them with a fork it came out great in the oven. Please tell me if something is wrong with the materials. thanks!
@kathey1981Ай бұрын
You know I'm not really sure if your substitutions had much to do with it. I would have to try your recipe which wouldn't be a bad idea. Cookies are always good! LOL and I question you're not using butter because butter is so much better for you than oil and margarine is really bad for you. I've went from vegan taquito to carnivore and in all my researching with different people through all these diets, they say that butter is the best thing (excite except vegans of course) and eggs have a lot of goodness as well. I will try your recipe and get back with you

for anyone finding this now....The plate needs to go with the # side up (each designed plate is numbered) and you have to fit it into the notches and turn slightly to lock into place. Otherwise when you back up the plunger (like they tell you to, to release the dough) the plate will wobble around & let dough leak thru the sides of the plate. Now I have figured all of that out. What I can't figure out is how to get the dang dough to release from the press. Maybe the dough should be cold? Maybe the pan should be cold? Any help would be appreciated.
@kathey19819 ай бұрын
I think this was my first video. You can watch my other one and it might show what you just mentioned. The dough being cold would help but the whole thing is it sticks to the pan is how it releases. That's why you don't grease the pan.
@pattyhansen75639 ай бұрын
@@kathey1981 THX! I think MY cookie sheets might have been the issue too, because they have built up a layer of 'seasoning' & have a roughish texture & at first I was trying to use parchment paper. I asked a friend later & she said yes to the cold dough & yes to cold cookie sheets that are entirely smooth. I'll give it another try before ditching it. 😁

How is the tape holding up?
@kathey19819 ай бұрын
I changed the entire commode so that was just a quick fix until I could get someone in to replace it. The only problem with the tape on there was it had to go around that curve and as you know tape doesn't really want to do that. It dripped slightly. I just put something down there to catch the water as it slowly dripped. Lol
