Used to love doing this dance in Innellan with Effie Millar, and in Cranston with Joyce Dell. Great memories of when I could really move!

John, Is it really possible that not a single viewer has given this video a thumbs up? An omission I am going to rectify, - immediately. I hope one or two other lovers of SCD may join me?

It seems that stateside, the song is referred to as the “Belle of Bon Accord”. In Scotland it’s still called “The Bonnie Lass o’ Bon Accord”. It was written about my great grandmothers aunt, Mina Bell, so maybe you’ve got the right idea after all 🙂 very proud to hear our family’s song being played all the way across the water.

A lovely dance. Love the choice of tunes. I have tried to find information on the devisor and the original instructions. The closest is in Let's All Dance Too but, while very similar, the dance is different. Any information on the devisor together with original instructions of your You Tube dance would be appreciated.

+Claude Hutton Glad you like it. As far as I remember this version was a one-off for the occasion and not published, but if I come across the devisor will ask.

Sir John: As the late Bernard Matthews, the Turkey King used to say, "Bootiful, just bootiful". The terrifying Spurtle now holds fewer terrors for me than before. Roll on next Saturday, when I shall astonish anyone watching me at Croydon RSCDS, by not making a total ass of myself. Thank you, and more please. PS: Anything wrong with the men in your neck of the woods? Seven gorgeous lasses, having to make do with just one (watchful, but watchable too) man. It ain't right.
