This is a fast forward version of the 1 hr 32 minutes full ride.I took this route many times from the 1970's to the early 1980's from 30 cents per ride to $1.00 per ride.

Hi, we use the app Anytrip to track down any special buses in service, but for some older buses doing rail replacement may not have a tracker on them, so they would not appear on the app :) -Adrian

Here's a video idea, do the shortest Bus route in Auckland, Route 806, noone has ever recorded This route, So I think it would be a nice video idea

Fairfax 12.130, I love it, I've been looking for this and the Kiwi Coaches 623 MAN SL243 but no luck so far. I honestly don't know how you guys get so lucky all the time!😅

Well, I just happened to stumble across this bus when I needed to catch the RBPX so I guess I was pretty lucky. You used to be able to take Kiwi Coaches' SL243s on rail buses between Newmarket and Britomart but based on observations those have sadly been replaced by Pavlovich's Scanias. - Matthew

Not sure about Kiwi Coaches, but I did see Coachways buses running Puhinui express rail buses on the occasional weekend when the Southern line was closed. - Matthew

Well the RBPX uses Howick & Eastern and Coachways buses, which Howick & Eastern send a lot of their non-AT Metro branded buses on this route (mostly Designline MANs) and you'd just have to get lucky if you want to catch a Fairfax. As for the RBGX it's operated by Go Bus and they always use the Designline MAN 17.223s (1400s) that got transferred from NZ Bus to Go Bus not long ago.
