That one part doesn't sound accurate. Queens is the biggest borough in land mass.

Living just across the Hudson from NYC in the 50's, my grandfather who was born in NYC took me often to tour and shop in the city. Many fond memories. By time I was an early teen, I knew my way around . But so did my Dad who somehow managed to follow my best friend and I to "The Village" and oops....just happened to run into us ! Busted we were as he feigned surprise and commented on our fashion look (our "Beatnik" clothes we hid under our regular duds). He said no more just see you at home before dark. We knew we were shadowed until catching the bus home. What a great father.

*I enter a busy intersection and see people blatantly jaywalking without any regard for safety. The air is thick with exhaust fumes, and the sidewalks are littered with garbage. It's chaotic, disorganized, and just plain annoying.*

It has alot to offer. The island of Manhattan in particular is an organized Grid. With Central Park in the Middle. Downtown is more confusing if you're not from there
