Great video! I enjoyed the commentary, but you need to do something with the microphone like enable noise cancellation and consider turning bass down for the music you are using.

Although invisible from the angle I recorded the game at, there is a green spy underneath my spy that allowed gurney to infiltrate to heighliner.

@@Consules you might want to tilt the camera view a little bit, so these kind of things are visible. I found that it works for me with something like 15-20 degrees.

Rough position and a rough game. IMO things started falling apart for you already round 2 when you had to block basin without bonus spice, and more so with the heavy combat focus later. You've uploaded a lot of Jessica game play, so what are your thoughts on her, by now? In my opinion she is pretty weak. Her pre-flip ring is pretty good but really poor once she flips, and her post-flip demands BG access to function at all. Playing her always feels to me like I am missing one of my leader abilities to fight other leaders and their two often good abilities, and that I desperately need to pick up good cards to make up for her inherent deficit.

I personally use jessica on almost any row. I think to play her well is understanding what other players objectives are. For me I love picking up low value cards that have spice/water reveals because jessica has the potential to basically draw her whole deck every turn

@@Consules I think much of that holds true for any leader. As for the resource reveals, I find my esteem of those cards just continues to climb. At this point I want them in any strategy that is not heavily based around getting SMFs every round

@@bjarkov12 I have a video coming soon that demonstrates my complete view on Jessica and how I play her. I have some other opinions in there from some of the other top jessica players too but hopefully that video should clear up some confusions. But yes you are correct in the sense that the card value matters more than the leader. What I am saying in the comment is that for jessica, since she draws a LOT of cards, she tends to have more chances to get rewards from cards that reveal for resources. That could also be true for muadib and margot but I just highlight the fact that it is also very key on jessica.

Metulli does one thing well and that is pushing people out of combat or forcing them to overcommit. She needs good action economy for this which makes swordmaster important. She does that quite solidly, especially if early conflicts for solari are revealed. Her prime weakness is her lack of flexibility to adjust her plan when random game features don't come up her way, which is sadly quite often the case.

Ah yes you are right. I wasnt completely sure what my thinking was when i played the spy on hagga. The play u suggest could have possibly netted me 2 more points one from SMF and 1 from secure spice trade.

It is a visual bug where the flag doesn’t directly show but I do get the solari each time someone visits arakeen and in round 7 I get a defender troop into the conflict. Hope this clears up the confusion.

13:37 due to blue's taking back move, green should have lost one spice (imp. basin) and thus at the end of the game he would not have enough spice for the sardaukars, and he would have 1-2 intrigue cards less on the other hand, great match

Your opponents are right that you can't just wait and then play an intrigue after Muad Dib passes. That's the whole point of there being a turn order. You can't make Muad Dib choose *before* he sees that you're retreating. In expectation, you got an unfair advantage by doing that.

I do agree that it did create an unfair advantage. The intention however was not that. During the game I thought that muaddib was trying to win the combat which is why he deployed so I figured it would be best to let the players fight for first before I retreated.

@@Consules that's not how combat works. You pointed at muaddib which means after he passes you are not allowed to play your intrigue.

@@MrSneakerDead That action was completely my fault I do realize. I will be more aware in future games to play my intrigues on my turn without passing. In hindsight I should have just taken the action back instead of trying to justify it.

It is available on steam under TableTop Simulator. Once you download it you can install the Dune Imperium Uprising mod made by asmodius. Goodluck playing!

Can Muaddib gain hook for his allies? It seems, in the rulebook, hook is not included in the symbols that to be activated for allies.

under muadibs card it states that once one of muadibs allies or him gains hooks, everyone on that team gains hooks

Do you save the swordmaster to use when you want or use it the round you acquire it? Great to see some 3v3 content it´s about time!

Once you acquire swordmaster, it is a ONE time action. So you can choose to save it until u find the right time to use it or you can choose to use it on the turn you acquire it. Regardless of if you use the swordmaster action or not you are passively given 2 swords in combat starting from the turn that you acquire swordmaster.

early in the game always put 2 troops in bc it will scare opponents from committing into combat. At the reveal turn you can always get 3rd for a troop less. Rinse and repeat!

The error you make is that you record your TTS and then you cut it afterwards to a smaller portion. Instead, you need to directly fit the TTS to the final screen cut while playing, so that TTS can render everything at the maximum.

When acquiring a smf and having guild spy, if i gain the 4th stage in emperor and gain a spy can this spy be place for an additional bump for guild spy?

@@eliottjacques2522 nope because that is considered “trying to activate a card ability on 2 different occasions.” Once you trigger the guild spy ability any more spies that u acquire from within the ability are nulled for guild spy rewards. I apologize if that was confusing.

Nasty game, one you dream of! Well played! You could have add another bump in fremen by receiving a spy (from emperor)and moving one on another faction and thus having a bump in each to fully secure the fremen alliance

I believe that it was ruled that the minute you acquire the spice must flow, the guild spy ability triggers and you cannot move any spies around which is why I did not move the spy i recieved from emperor to fremen. I might need to double check however.

a lot of times i will play it simply because it has fremen access but post round 4 i tend to utilize the draws more. pre r4 i dont believe spending 2 water is worth 2 card draws unless i am specifically pushing for a SMF or a card on the row
