Watching from Spain. I also want to practice more Hakka because I'm forgetting many words... Even though when we have visit from family abroad I always speak in Hakka with them...

lovely video. ethnically chinese but indian. lovely. thats india. did you know actor meiyang chang is ethnically chinese. keep up the great content. when i moved to toronto, i missed having hakka indo chinese food so much. never thought i would. then i found a place called Hakka Legend. try it out. cheers.

My mom taught me a Hakka dish with egg plants. First you blanch or steam the eggplants till soft. Then scrape out the flesh. Finely shred water convoluvus together with a handful of Thai basil leaves. Then stir fry eggplant with some garlic, sliced chillies and small shrimp. Add the vege and season with fish sauce and pepper. Fry till the vege is cooked and we'll mixed with the eggplant. Dish out and garnish with fried shallot crisps.
