Actually this ending way sadder than vincent dying coz at the end leo had only his family and vincent had like cops and his family...leos family is alone now..vincents family would have got police support

Played as Leo with my partner as Vincent. He killed me so I’m dumping him. Looked up this ending to show it’s the true ending.

I played this game with my girlfriend. I was Leo and we debated for like 20 minutes who should kill who and why, regarding the entire story. She killed me, it was my idea. I was Leo. We both cried.

he had no fuckin reason to chase Leo, just tell that he died with the explosion of the boat or whaever. why he had to fight until one of them dies is a baffling decision of the developers to make this game more rememberable and sad. like even in the airplane scene he puts the gun so close like a fucking idiot implying that he wants to get caught to let Leo go but noooo. their goal was just to get harvey and the gem, they had enough trust between each other for Vincent to say everything and let him leave

Another quick way is alert the enemy throw a granade or mine then start shooting in slow mo because you need one shot and the other will die from explosion

(Incoming essay 💀, TLDR at end) Honestly, while i do take vincent's side over leo's, i think vincent's death is best. For one, like another person said, regardless of whether vincent lives or dies he's still considered a hero for fighting the "bad". He had a whole memorial service of people who, if not there bc of obligation, are there bc they respected him. If leo dies he gets painted as a villain, but if he lives he gets another chance at life with his family. Second, looking at both families, i think leo's family would be worse off financially if he died. From the start, carol most likely had police protection, while linda was living in fear of harvey. Initially I really thought carol was going to be kidnapped or used by harvey as leverage against vincent bc of how vulnerable she was, and i wondered why she wasn't being as "cautious" as linda (laying low) but ig now we know why. Not only does the family have gov protection, but they will most likely be financially secure for the rest of their lives. Leo's family on the other hand, don't have that security. Leo got himself involved with harvey to most likely support his family. If leo dies, the family would be hit harder. Third, i think vincent's family has more emotional support. Carol has the support of the fbi and their families. Their daughter wont grieve as much bc she never knew her father. Alex on the other hand knew his father, and Linda most likely has no one else bc theyre a small family on their own. I dont agree with ppl saying vincent should die bc he betrayed leo. Theyre middle aged men, at this point in their lives theyre focusing on their families and whats best for them. Leo totally was justified in feeling betrayed, but im sure that was more bc all his effort for his family was wasted rather than his feelings actually bejng hurt. Maybe he also might have seen vincent as the first ally hes ever had, but at the end of the day, he's dealt with shady things so i wouldve expected him to not be so surprised. Vincent had his own life and own agenda. While im not saying leo is to blame for gary's death, leo was apart of the stint, and that has its consequences (which leo should've been more cautious about imo) TLDR: Vincent should die bc his family would be better supported emotionally and financially after his death than Leo's family.

I think this is the best ending, if leo wins he have to escape all his life from the police. Vincent was only doing his job, the could work that out after the plane betrayal, but leo was so angry with Vincent that he couldnt see a way out

Just played this with my fiancé. He was Vincent and I was Leo. I'm not a good shot, nor a good button masher. Great game but jeez was I mad when he killed me. Had to come find the other ending

I finished this game as Leo and let my brother playing Vincent live when we were going for gun because it didn’t feel right. I thought it might be better than this ending. Looking at this now I realize there was no better ending.
