Thanks for having me on to chat. It was a lot of fun, and the memories of Christmas past are always worth reliving.

Brought a tear to my eyes. Thanks for stirring a memory. I’m 60 now but when I was about 5 I got one of these for Christmas. All I have left is a photo of my grandfather and me laying on the floor and playing with this toy. Wish I could find another

My older brother and I had Lincoln Logs in the mid 1980s. I didn’t know the history behind them, so thanks for sharing that! I hope you have a Merry Christmas!

Great video review, thanks! The 2600 couldn't do diagonal lines as well as the arcade so they made a real cityscape instead. Does look great. Sound is amazing. Ship disappearing could be annoying, but i still play it more than the 800xl version!

We had this console at Mr. Tom’s pizza in Ayer, Massachusetts, long before Galaxian arrived in town… I think the rip off might be the other way around. Never noticed the word Cosmic, I only recall it said Alien on the console…

I won one at Fast Food Place in the 80s. Played it for a few decades. Now my nieces and nephew and BIL are enjoying it.

I had Lincoln Logs growing up. I always had trouble getting the roof planks to stay on top.

I had "Canadian Logs" in the mid-70's (the exact same thing, just sold in Canada). It was a cabin, I didn't know they had different sets. Loved it! That, and later Lego and "Girder and Panel", were great architecture toys.

This was the first arcade game I played. Was in a coin op laundry. Remember begging my mom for quarters constantly.

Now this looks like a fun little plug-and-play system and the graphics are really good considering it was a budget item even when new. I wonder if we got these in the UK, as I have a hankering to get one - that shoot-em-up taking on the TIEs and the Star Destroyer looks like it is really engaging.

Dahlkemper's was a department store chain in Pennsylvania. It was similar to Sears and Service Merchandise. They closed down in 1994.

This same sort of thing has been discovered with Atari 8-bit computer games. If you increase the amount of memory they can use, they get so much better. I've thought if memory had been a lot cheaper BITD, people would've been shocked re. what these computers could do.

I had one of these! I’m 57 years old and it’s still in my top 3 most memorable Christmas presents! Sadly, my little brother accidentally dropped the Rock’em Sock’em Robots on it and broke it 😭. Best toy ever. I’d buy another one in a heartbeat!

Loved this game back in the day. Simplistic, yet very challenging and arduous, as each stage progresses. Bright colors for it's time, made it stand out too.

Tge intro is as good as an Activision game? More like almost as good as a NES game! Huge colorful detailed objects, all flicker free.

Klax was fantastic in the arcade and on the Atari Lynx and NES. I would always start on Level 11 and do the warp to Level 56. On the Atari Lynx port, I found an easter egg message in the endgame.

I bought this LCD Tetris keychain a few days ago at marshalls for 10 bucks. It's the best 10 bucks I spent. Now if my arcade would do a little machine that was the Atari arcade Tetris from 1988, that would be awesome.

I wonder why blue 🤔 I had the AMT/Ertl model, and when my friend and I opened it the first time we were both “It’s…blue?” We would have expected green (we were used to the Bird of Prey on screen with the movies and TNG) but powder blue was a surprise
