cracked base of motor,its plastic and be use power glue ( iam have technics t20 have cracked one base of board on transportation and glued and its perfect now) when transport on paper only 1 layer of bubble plastic is very poor protection,needs to put isopor on sides,front and rear and minimum 3 layera of bubble plastic. in my country brazil me and my friend send tape decks using this method and never cracked or kneaded .

I think that gold piece that fell out is one of the spots that the rubber belts go around. Probably if you get some new rubber belts and put that piece back, then it will work

I have this model and the cassette door is stuck closed with a tape inside. It always worked fine before now. Any suggestions on how to get it open?

To prevent damage, it must be opened from the inside. On the cassette mechanism, it must be unzipped so that the door holding the cassette opens.

I love Technics stuff, their major problem was cheap plastic painted fronts. This being a classic example with a grey colour that matches neither black not silver equipment!

Thank you for your comment. Well, to be honest, we don't really care what color it is. We bought it mainly so that we could play some minidiscs. Technics doesn't offer much, so there's nothing to choose from.
