Compared to kipping pull up, How big the difference by % or the no. of reps you start to feel muscle fatigue to split the straight pull up?
@jordanschaefferfitnessКүн бұрын
It’s definitely different for everyone but I would say once you start to hit total muscle failure at 5 pull-ups that’s a good time to start to split the pull-ups into 3 and 2!

Have you tried doing bayesian machine curls instead of normal curls and then doing hammer curls? I usually will do bayesian since it’s got a deeper stretch. But my biceps are tiny and yours are giant, so i shouldn’t talk
@jordanschaefferfitness2 күн бұрын
Yeah that’s also a really good superset too! The Bayesian curl is really good to target the long head of your bicep which will create a bigger peak on your bicep!

Not a pro but based and some of the latest studies i think the rope is not as effective as a straight bar considering the stretch is where most of the growth occurs. With a straight bar you can also load more weight.
@jordanschaefferfitness4 күн бұрын
Totally agree straight bar allows you to use more weight! When I’m just doing pushdowns without a superset I usually opt for the straight bar. With this superset I use it as a finisher at the end of the workout so Triceps are already smoked at this point.

Super sets and drop sets are useless, if you want to bring up a body part you train it first in your workout with higher frequency, focusing on getting as strong as possible in the movements your doing

If you don't feel like training, get up, get dressed in your training stuff. Now get in the gym, get on the bike or treadmill or elliptical and just stand there with the intent to stand there for the time you've allotted to train. You'll soon start moving before long you'll be training.

A common misconception I always hear is that in order to be a hybrid athlete, you need to do running and lifting. In reality, it’s combining endurance with strength training. While I myself love to run it isn’t for everyone. Some love to bike, others love to swim, etc. Thanks for bringing this up.

Great to hear you love running. Running is super hard getting the cadence and breathing right. It feels like Everest sometimes, maybe I over think it?? Even though I don't like it, I wouldn't exclude it from training, just because its like, grab some shoes and go convienient.
@jordanschaefferfitness10 күн бұрын
Totally agree we both love running and it’s always super convenient! If you’re having trouble with your breathing try these two things out that helped both our big time! 1- Track heart rate and keep 80-90% of your runs below max aerobic heart rate (Max aerobic heart rate: 180-age) 2- Try to run at a pace that you can breathe through your nose and avoid mouth breathing as long as you can. You may have to slow your pace down but this will really help you build your aerobic endurance and make a huge difference!
@chalermako9 күн бұрын
@@jordanschaefferfitness Many thanks! I will certainly try those tips. Yes, I run too fast, I need to allocate more time for my runs and chill out a bit.

I think this also heavily depends on age. I’m 19, been hitting the gym 7 days a week for two and a half years and I’m 5’11 180lbs at around 14%bodyfat, better shape than 99% of people my age. My rest day is supposed to be Saturday and sometimes I won’t do anything that day but usually I hit deadlift. So in conclusion it works great for me (so far) so saying for all ages to take rest days I don’t think is the best advice
