my preferred synth. Thank you. What do you think of implementing the tubbutec sh-1oh1 ? Roland was forward thinking when they put 1/8th jacks on CV / Gate... Not sure why turn them into quarter jacks is any real benmefit when we have all the cables and adapters.

These sounds, sound exactly the same. Over and over and over. No wonder Modal is going out of business.

Is it me or does it seem like Modal took the same DCO and algos from the 002 model and split them into the Cobalt and the Argon knowing they couldn't hit the price point they wanted with analog filters? Pretty cool characteristics, more aggressive than the Cobalt to my ears.

No FX. Interesting. I am just thinking about selling my SH01A to keep the S1 because overall is just a more capable synth for modern standards (3 FX, LFO sync, real time sequence recording with motion automation...). However I seem to have this sticky idea in my head, that less is more, and the SH101 in the beginning was not limited, but clean. What are your thoughts?

What a great demo. Thank you for putting this together and sharing it. I foolishly sold my LAMM modified Memorymoog about 20 years ago, and now I have just today acquired another, this time a Plus. So looking forward to playing it again and this was a perfect reminder of how cool it sounds!

One of the cooler synth demos I’ve seen. Love the clear footage of the components and the very electronic, industrial patches.

great demo! but pleeeeease epoxy some popsicle sticks over the holes and then fill them in with plastic flexi filler or something!! it pains me to see a 101 turned into swiss cheese like this lol

I dont think my 101 sounds this raw! Great job calibrating (?) did you alter the lfo speeds to go higher?

There is a mod on the LFO, offering two speeds.

I would probably loose interest in this synth fairly quickly, though the buzzy and metalic sounds are nice enough. I bet Modal made their wavetables from an FM synth or FM software synth.

hi i'm about to get one of these. i noticed it has some kind of chassis ground connection on the back. can you tell me whether i need to separately ground the machine or if it's ground through the power cable? thank u
@meuchine71663 жыл бұрын
Hi. I’m not sure about it, but I know that the fiend who is using it don’t use an external ground, and it doesn’t seem to be a problem. So… I think you’re good. In any case, if you get some « hum », you can try to add a wire to a proper ground and check if it’s better. Cheers !
