My husband caught a baby mud crab who decided to make his home in all my veggies. Well, 3 weeks later I have microscopic babies in my tank and there's thousands of them. You totally inspired me. Lol

I have fed many wasps. I find them most fascinating and just learned they can recognize human faces. I have a good sized nest outside my garage and when I open the door, I greet them, and they don't seem the least bothered. Not sure I want to try to feed the whole nest, but have thought about trying.

You could have dimmed the light in the room and left a faint light in the habitat; the queen would have found her way there on her own and might even have been proud of escaping you. This is usually the method I use to control my insects. A startled wasp usually isn’t in the mood to eat. I learned in school that eating under stress always caused stomach problems.

You need to learn how to care for the animals. It’s annoying? I bet it’s super annoying for them too.

"Great job! I really admire what you're doing. But a few tips: First, you’ve attached their nest upside down. They won’t have a problem feeding the larvae, but they don’t have anywhere to hide and rest, and on top of that, they might end up with PTSD. Also, you don't need to fear every wasp when it has its wings folded behind its back. There's no chance it will bite or sting you. Only when they spread their wings in a warning sign, resembling two outstretched fingers, is there something to be worried about."

Oh, and I noticed that a 60/66 Hz sound from a 2.5-inch speaker has a calming effect on my wasps. Of course, it’s very quiet-something we can’t hear, but they definitely react to it.
