As a kid, living in rural shitkickville the UK , 1970s the fair was like the fookin aliens had landed, the crew on the waltzers had supernatural balance & the steam yachts were terrifying.more importantly we heard amplified music at top volume. One year I heard New Rose by the Dammed blasting out of a 4x10 cab & my life has never been the same since.

I remember going on this superstar back in 2002 onwards as it remained a static ride at flambards. Awesome refurb btw with more bling. Back when it was introduced to flambards and for like 15 years it still had the same light pack and paint colour from when scott manning had it, all that changed was the logos. The Cornish sea weather and the fact that during the winter when the park was closed i'm pretty sure it wasn't stored away (Only covers) so wasen't good for the ride. During it's last 8 years at flambards it was looking pretty tired.

Looks a great thrill ride similar to Airborne that goes to Hyde Park Winter Wonderland

Thanks Chris, yes it is a similar style ride though not as big as Airborne. However, I do think this one is more intense than airborne which although a good ride I think is a bit tame. Really feel the blood rush to your feet on this one.

@@Fairgroundenthusiast i have only ever seen both Airborne & Blizzard / Gladiator at HPWW and there rides i cant do but i do like to watch them , i had no idea Apollo 13 was not as big as Airborne but it does look an impressive thrill ride all the same , shame i cant do these rides as do look quite good too 👍

I was born into a showman’s family my mum and dad decided to stop travelling when I was only five I am in my 30s now and I’m going travelling again I have just bought a ride like this and I’m travelling with Pat Collins funfairs soon will be in Stafford then Coventry and Warsaw look out for my ride it’s called Mullens light house Waltzer.
