Yeah still the concrete bridge support lying there forward. The bow has to be repaired. I can't believe it can be pronounced as seaworthy with the big hole on the starboard side bow.

Think youve got this way wrong,so the rust buckets not to ply theire trade to American Ports but can go elsewhere and cause damage and death,these rusted ships. Should not be allowed to sail,i am a retired shipbuilder. In ship repair most ships are fit for purpose its ships that operate with flag of convenience so dont just thnk about America think about the Global damage that can be done🇬🇧🏴🛠️

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY WRONG IN THIS VIDEO. ALSO, THE DALI IS NOT IN AS BAD OF SHAPE AS YOU CLAIM EXCEPT FOR THE DAMAGE ON BOW AND CRIUSHED CONTAINERS ON BOW. THIS SHIP WAS INSPECTED AT ANOTHER US PORT 11 MONTHS AGO AND WAS CLEARED WITH NO EXCEPTIONS IN HER INSPECTION. YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CLUELESS.

Somebody, please explain why the cargo is still on this ship? Why wasn't it removed and placed on another carrier?
@edwardlightyear1015Ай бұрын
The cargo has to stay on to weight down the ship so it can make it under certain bridges. See my next video about the Bay Bridge it explains it.
@nikolatesla5553Ай бұрын
@edwardlightyear1015 Thank you. Sounds like a good reason. Except for those waiting for their cargo. But doesn't the Dali have ballast tanks?
@alexc2779Ай бұрын
There wouldn’t be any ruins. They used wood for their homes. Not brick or stone. That’s one of the most frustrating things for me about the Indians in the northeast. They didn’t build their settlements out of anything that would last.

The containers are not being removed from the Dali as the Dali will be headed elsewhere for repairs (I understand one of the shipyards in the Norfolk VA area). To get to open ocean water the Dali must clear (get under) a bridge downstream from Baltimore. This requires that the Dali be well loaded so it sits lower in the water (an empty Dali would not fit under the bridge). It is my belief that the crushed containers at the bow will be removed in Baltimore once they are cleared of the bridge debris. I have no idea if the Dali will be fully unloaded in the Norfolk area or not. There are no bridges to get under to get to the main ports and shipyards in the Norfolk area as all road traffic is in tunnels well under the seafloor.

Do you ever get camera jitters? Does your telephoto lens ever shake? If so then you need a brand new monopod! Want to be even steadier on your photographer/videographer feet? Then you need a tripod! 😉

@trotterpandora46Ай бұрын
the Dali has claimed or declared General Average , so the cargo has to pay in portion to the damage costs and other salavage costs. So cargo will not be discharged in the neat future if at all. There are only losers and even many others who think that there is money to be made will be disappointed. For there is none. All offices closed or broke.!! Succes with yr claims. Capt J.Jonkers MM

May 31 4K drone footage of Dali's bow by Minorcan Mullet kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2ekgICerbx2j5o View from 15:20 mark. By comparison it can be seen that Resolve Marine has repositioned the large Weeks 533 crane forward of the large concrete beam and that its boom is way over tot he port side where the broken containers are located. The ancillary smaller black crane has moved in and appears to be supporting the large concrete beam which seems to have rotated somewhat since then and Fri June 7.
@edwardlightyear1015Ай бұрын

Looks like the Weeks is reaching across the Dali. Looks like a claw on the main snatch block. Can't tell if they are pulling debris or grabbing and lowering smashed containers. If you could timelapse what the Weeks boom is doing from a tripod would be awesome!

A tripod would help. They are working on the pier that was saw cut prior to moving the Dali. The pier cap is not visible from your location. If you could focus on the area where they are working for like an hour, then one might make a reasonable assumption on how they removing the pier. It looks like they are jackhammering smaller pieces for the smaller crane and not using the Weeks 533 on the lower part of the pier.
