i remember seeing slipknot on tour just before the first album came out across the nation, and lovi g it still do, theb this coming out and nit yet having really discovered death metal/slam/ harcore type stuff just had heard numetal stuff at that point so didnt quite get it, but now Iowa is my favorite album by slipknot.. and to think about how much this blew up and its essentially a death metal record with nu metal tendencys is crazy.

Definitely check out their behind the scenes of making of the album you’ll get an appreciation of the work that they put into this and how Mike Shinoda js the brain behind it all. The studio session stuff was so cool. And Jay-Z said going into this that the only artist he’d want to colab with was Linkin Park. Highly recommend some Jay-Z too. Anything from the Black Album, or The Blueprint is great. A lot of what you heard here is from those albums. 4 of the 6 tracks. New sub here!

Honestly, I feel like this is the perfect album. I'm 40+, and this came out in my late teens/early 20s, and might be biased, but it has more replay-ability than any album I've listened to.
