I have a 2020 Ranger XP1000 with winter prep package. I’ve accepted the fact that I will replace bushings often. But, I’ve also realized that it’s really a small price to pay given the advantages. I haul firewood regularly and do plenty of projects with it. We also use it to trail ride to lake and things like that once a week or so. Great machine that can do lots and keep you warm.

You shouldn’t have any issues with the rest of it. They are not cheap and the vehicle should last as long as the engine I’m still taking it easy on mine because it still the shiny new toy and I have had no issues to this point 🤞🏼…. i Have one of these and use it in ranch work everyday, I use my 4 wheeler anytime I can because the maintenance on this type of transmission is very expensive and it does not get good fuel economy. I save enough on fuel using the 4 wheeler to pay for it. These engines are good, never any trouble, but the machine falls apart around it. I have several rancher friend that have them and have same complaints. But I put up with it for the heat and AC, would not buy another because of that transmission, seems like it slips all the time and the hyd fluid has to be changed several times a year with my usage and is extremely expensive, and all the HYD filters.

@funnythirty2 ай бұрын
The tires suit my needs perfectly… if I was going to be in the mud and muck a lot, I would have left the ATV tires on it. But I use this for yard work and light cleanup on the lawn, and street driving, so was afraid the deep tread would have tore up the grass too much. If and when I decide to put a plow on this, I may re-think that decision , although I have read that deep tread is not always good for deep snow… so I’ll need to see how these work 1st before I change them out. Turf tires are my choice at this point .

Thanks for the videos, great job. I am buying the same model RTV, I wanted orange, but they only had camo at this time. I will be purchasing my own lights and things because of your other video. Great advice!! Just wanted to ask, as I will be putting in my own radio, but I didn't see any speakers in the RTV x1100c that I am purchasing. Did you buy your own speakers, because I could not find any in the RTV? Also, did you put on those front spacers yet, if so, how does it ride? I am thinking about getting spacers, as I live on some hilly terrain. Keep up the good work and thanks for your videos!!!
@funnythirty3 ай бұрын
I did “NOT” Put those spacers on yet… they are still sitting in its box on my workbench … my bad, but my garage is not heated and it was laziness on my part by not installing them over the winter. But , yes I will be installing them. If your area is hilly, then I suggest putting spacers on your RTV… I failed to mention in my videos, I get the feeling, that the RTV with the cab, (in my opinion only) feels just a little top heavy and feel like it leans while traversing a slope. So the spacers are a good idea. The speakers for the radio are there… you should have a pre installed antenna, and when you pop off the cover plate for the radio in the head liner, you will see an antenna cable and a wiring harness for the power and speakers . I had to fish mine out with a screwdriver. The factory speakers are def not the best quality, and if you appreciate your music, you’ll get yourself a decent set (I think they are 4” or 4.5”). Somewhere in the comments I mentioned the exact size. I’m going to leave mine stock. Because in reality I’ll leave the radio on with the windows down and the engine off if I’m working nearby and it’s all just background noise anyway. I’m not looking to shake the neighbors windows. Good luck with your new machine. I love mine. They are awesome
@RedDevilinCali3 ай бұрын
ok, thank you. However, there are no cover plates in the headliner on the RTV, however it does come with a throttle kit. Maybe, the factor did the throttle kit instead of the speakers. Thank you for all your advice. I will definitely get the spacers!!@@funnythirty

It is designed much like a tractor, meaning not for speed, change it and you will break it.
@funnythirty4 ай бұрын
Sure, and I absolutely get that. However, I’ve had a 25 horse tractor before and it had a hydrostatic transmission, and it never once slow down on hills, or lost any of its top speed ability, unless I was obviously pulling something extremely heavy or using a rear implement in the ground which would slow down any tractor not just a 25 hp one. It just doesn’t make sense to me that this 24 hp and diesel engine can’t make it uphill without losing half of its top speed. That being said, top speed is not a priority with me. It’s just annoying. I’ll keep it because I like itand I promise you I won’t break it
@farmking50884 ай бұрын
Do you get a lot of mud slinging on the RTV with the 2" spacers installed?
@funnythirty4 ай бұрын
Not at all. As I mentioned. Prior to installation , the rear tires were basically “inboard” of the front tires… the spacers pushed them out “even” with the rear fenders. They don’t extend out further than the fenders , so no mud slinging .

@funnythirty5 ай бұрын
If you fold forward the driver seat… there is an oval rubber grommet on the rear panel that exits to the engine area … it’s about about 10” long that just pops out. I made a small slit it the grommet and ran the cable through it when I put the grommet back into place. Then I ran the cable under the lift out plastic storage bins and then under the rubber floor mat. The power cord then plugs into the cigarette lighter and the control module can be mounted to the dash with Velcro tape

Hi, I've had my RTV X1100C for more than 4 years and it has about 3850 hours. I use the diff lock all the time in snow and mud and never had it not release. I haul a lot of firewood and farm related supplies. I don't have a screen on my rear window and haven't broken it. I did get the kubota side mirrors, but I get in tight spots in the woods and broke both of them. Rather than pay a lot to replace them, I bought magnetic mirrors for about $30 per set on Amazon and they work well. I can easily remove them when necessary. I got used to the two hand tailgate latch. When I need it open, I do that before I pick up whatever is going in the back.

I have the same annoyances with my RTV X1140. The tailgate one hand opening i fixed with some paracord I tied to the latch handles. Now, just pull the cord in the middle with one hand. Side mirrors are a must, but I also added a rear view camera that i mounted on the canopy to get a clear view behind. That is especially helpful when backing in the woods or working with a trailer. I've somehow gotten over the hard-to-shift problem as I don't seem to find it an issue anymore. Either I've developed a technique or it's gotten easier, I'm not sure 🤔 Thanks for sharing the videos.
