Done this on Mikrotik Hap Ac Lite Every step was followed, then when it came to searching for my Mikrotik Map Lite which I've put into CAP mode, it didn't list down. So not sure what's happening here

So after searching, I found a video on Mikrotik Official KZbin. Very simple basic explanation but the step that seems to find my CAP devices was to enable a feature So on the left hand side , by the Wireless Tab.... You'll be in the Wireless Tables. Then there's another option called Cap. It's one of the Subcategories. Enable that Interfaces: Wlan1 (Can add Wlan2 as well) CapsMan Address: 127.0.0.1 Then click OK You'll see your Capsman devices (CAPs Device) And I noticed I needed to Reboot holding the Reset button in order for it to get into Capsman mode for my device, doing it via winbox somehow glitched

Very clear and straight forward but I am yet to verify inter vlan routing with mikrotik as I dont have access to router yet to do the inter vlan routing. Mikrotik has been my nightmare and i pray this ur video help.

@TimiGate This is informative and thank you for sharaing but I have a question. Let's say you connect PC5 (192.168.99.5) to ether5 and you untagged ether5 for vlan 99 so it can join the management network. What do you have to do in order for PC5 to ping SW1(192.168.99.2)?

with 7.14.3 cap with the vlan not working for me. I can connect to the main capsman device (what is a cap itself too) but I don't get IP if I connect on the cap. (I have a lot of working environment with older version)

When i set up Cloud, i can access FortiGate GUI. As soon as i connect NAT, the GUI stops working completely but the FortiGate gets access to the internet. If i remove NAT, i lose connection to the Internet but the GUI is still not reachable. What the hell is going on? This used to work like a month ago and now all of a sudden it's behaving like this.

implement firewall filter rules and choose your vlan interface as in-interface or out-interface. Your action can be 'drop' or 'accept', depending on what your goal is.

Just put the cap AP in caps mode by pressing down the reset button, plug them in and the rest, they say is history.

Generally you shoudn't enable VLAN filtering on bridge as a first step. This should be the last step. The only reason you weren't cut off from the router was that ether5 was not in the bridge.
