Imagine going with a small group to "open mic" night. Couple beers, some over cooked mozzarella sticks, marinara sauce is still cold but you decide it'll do. Sitting there enjoying some singers, poking fun at the others, nothing special. Picking on your buddy because one leg of his chair is ridiculously shorter than the other and he can't sit still, keeps spilling his beer. Then this fuggin' cranks off on stage, unplugs his guitar when he's done and walks on out the door.

I don't know what they thought they were gonna see, but it surely wasn't a man with this voice, playing ability just blessed from God. Be glad you saw him then was probably a lot cheaper then today better get out your money you want to see this amazing person and he's worth every dime!! Best singer I've seen in many years.

This is my favorite vocal performance by Chris Stapleton. His control is legendary. There’s not too many singers that can reach this level of live vocal perfection. At least none that I can name off hand. This dude is the best vocalist I’ve heard in a decade or two.
