Hi, i have a question. I own the exact model shown in the video. Same problem, but in the 4wd leaver. Owned it for a few months now and haven't been able to get it into 4wd. Would it work if I done on that side?
@hillcountrylivin7 күн бұрын
@iringapaikea1381 I love questions like this. However, without seeing how the lever is behaving, I don't know what to tell you. Is the lever moving, but not engaging the 4WD? Or is it just not moving at all? If it moves up and down, but doesn't engage, then I'd trace along the linkage, starting in the console to make sure that all of the links are connected together. I sure hope this helps. Please let me know the outcome.

Jeep said that I needed to replace the transfer cable that cost over 300 dollars and that’s not including labor so I ended up on KZbin and fixed it for 15 dollars lol and jeep said it couldn’t be fixed yea right

The stories I could tell. Jeep "stealership" repair shop tried to sell me transmission cooling lines for $150 each. I told them they were sold in a set for about that price. Shop labor brought the price to around $450 all said and done. Bought them online and did the job myself. Only additional tool I had to buy was the key to remove the lines, cost about $15.

@@hillcountrylivin I have one question for you. My gear shift selector wont move at all when i push the side button on the gear shift selector. I was able to more the console following your instruction. The cable and bushing is connected to the spindle. Do you know what could cause the gear shift selector not to move?
@hillcountrylivin5 ай бұрын
@@etaup02 Man, that's tough. I assume the spring mechanism on the button is working. If so, it could be related to an electrical issue. Maybe the brake light switch. Check that your brake lights come on. Or it could be the shifter interlock solenoid. The brake light switch should be located somewhere above the brake pedal, and the interlock solenoid will be inside the console on the side of the shifter. I wish I could be there with you to track this one down.
@hillcountrylivin5 ай бұрын
One more thing I forgot to mention, there should be an over-ride switch that you could access without taking out the console. Check your owners manual, since I'm not sure of the year Jeep your working with.

Got the same code for my 2009 Jeep Liberty. In my case all that was needed was a thorough cleaning of the gas cap/gasket and the area on the filler spout the gas cap screws into and fortunately, that was all that was required to fix the problem. Check engine light is off, Liberty passed the emission test last week. Best advice I received about my Liberty was to thoroughly clean those two areas.
@hillcountrylivin Жыл бұрын
I've experienced that as well. I fact it's the first thing to check before anything else. Most common point of failure on most vehicles and the least expensive to repair. Yeah, I keep pondering do I really need a Miter Saw. I plan to make some furniture. I looked at the sliding variants but the main thing I want to cut is thin pieces to length possibly longer pieces, for which you would need a sled to cut on a table saw and then if the piece is a little longer even the sled might not be good enough. I decided against a sliding miter saw early on, the reason I don't want a sliding variant is that if a piece is wide enough I can run it over the table saw or use a track saw, plus the added depth you would need. I plan on making a dedicated table at a wall so I not want a more compact saw. Home Depot has this saw for 199 right now, and I know Lowes had a deal with the Stand, but not anymore.
