@SportsTalkOnTap there not as good this year did you forget they lost Sneed and the lost there best defensive end for the first 13 or 14 games of the season for tearing his ACL against the Ravens last year they have nobody on the back end except McDuffie there is no one else proven on the back end the Raiders have the best defense in the west you watch the Chiefs are weaker this year we had a top 5 defense in the last 9 games of the season and we added the second best defense tackle in the league this year in free agency the only 2 good players they have on defense is Jones and McDuffie

The cornerback room will be just fine without Sneed we trust guys like Jaylen Watson and Joshua Williams to step up. If the raiders play like they did the second half of the year, they can potentially be A-tier just need to see it for we believe it in a full season.

Payton was going nuts because he had to furnish this check-down for him, but Russ was using it without looking down both sidelines. Why? Because he can't scramble to where he can see the field anymore! This was after he lost the weight. So it's not about his inability to scramble. *It's that this inability means he Can't See The Field.* He can't see the field. Literally. Towards the end, Payton was calling mirror routes. The analyst who noticed this thought it was a sign of Payton giving up on Russ because those aren't complex routes. Not at all. It was so if Russ could only see right, he would have a good idea where the receivers on the left should also be. the basic stats such as touchdowns and interceptions aren't everything. Wilson was a check-down machine last year that averaged 7 yards per throw. The stats may have gotten better from the year before but still very below average
