My 3rd pair ( white/green ) is damaged in my Cat 6 data drop feeding LTS 4MP Turret Camera. If I re-wire both ends , using your video as my guide, do I still need the 802 injector, or can I simply plug back into NVR as it is POE powered already ??

Best way to check is to take the camera straight to the nvr and connect it with a small patch cord the same way with the 4 wires and test both ways. With extended distance on or off. It may be extended distance just changes the mode which happens to change that setting. But test it comfortably by the nvr.

My 3rd pair shows open. Can I re-wire both ends the way you show and simply plug back into my 8 port LTS NVR ( as it is POE powered ), or do I need this 802 injector ?

It really depends on the model of nvr if it supports it. I have seen some of the hik style nvrs have an extended distance option, once enable it worked on this node. However , I can not guarantee it .

Hi when I press unlock 1 it doesn’t release the door ? I’ve to press on the keypad on the bottom right corner then press # then the door will be released, is there anyway to activate the unlock tap? Also when I try to press monitor and then try unlock it gives me unlock fail. Please let know how to troubleshoot that, thank you

In one of his other videos he reviewed this. Make sure under relay options in the doorbell and the monitor the dtmf is set to the same thing. Most probably you need to change the doorbell to # from 0 it may be on

I can power R20A with one twisted pair cable - the electric strike and the intercom receive 11.5V - is it good? The rubber protection on the RJ45 plug doesn't fit, is it good?

but how can we still get gigabit can we cut 2 wires only? I only need 2 wires for powering up devices that I'll attach to balun with positive and negative polarity so if there's chance to still achieve gigabit connection I'm on the look and don't know what wire numbers like 45 78 should I cut

I don't recommend this company. They are named in a lawsuit in Los Angeles along with the property owner and management company. Questions about fees and how to operate the system without a smartphone or internet are ignored. They will steal your identity and set up an account without your permission. The system this owner installed has no less than six buttons on the outside which is confusing to delivery persons and often deliveries are not made because no explanation of which button to use. The buttons are delivery, temp key, pin, dial, contacts, and reception. Pushing contacts and the public will hear "no access" and so the intercom function does not work. You may be forced to contact the manufacturer directly. There are no signs saying which button is which so the delivery people just give up. Often mail is not delivered. Don't install this system because you will be sorry.

Awesome video! All your content has been gold. Thanks for doing all this. What do you think of using the hikvision or some other quality branded two wire POE converter together with the injector? Doorbird devices here that I'm dealing with and their converter comes in such a steep cost. Maybe it's worth it, would love your two cents

good explanation but if its avialable to tell me how you made the call cam pop up while calling, because i have an integration between door bird intercom and akuvox indoor station, i wanna to make screen shows up the intercom ring to respond on it.

If you set up the doorbird as a contact already and you have audio and no video. Then you need to add the rtsp stream path of the doorbird on the akuvox monitor in the monitor list. Doorbirds rtsp path is a little finicky so you may have to play with some settings. But that's how I would do it.

No, and yes. It can not read the qr code. However, when you create a qr code in the app. it also has an 8 digit number typed underneath. If you type that into the keypad on the r20k, it will open the door and notify you. The same way the qr code does
