Great video guys, maybe consider getting an external mic to improve the sound quality.

Thank you for the well edited video. I see you are having a walk through the camp, are there no big cats in the camp. Thanks

Hi, Thanks for your message. At least Jakkals asem is outside of the main Dinokeng reserve, so the advantage is that you wont be surprised by any big cats etc. And I don't need to be worried about my son walking around the camp.

is your vehicle standard or some upgrade?
@traversethewild5 ай бұрын
The Mahindra was stock standard(Mahindra Karoo S11). And I was very impressed with the vehicle. I would have considered suspension upgrades if I added a canopy, roof top tent etc. Just to assist with carrying the weight. The roof rack is a Frontrunner designed for a 76 Land Cruiser. IT was a little bit longer that the one designed for the Mahindra Karoo but the overhang did not look bad and added some extra space for me.

It is at Thota lodge in the kalahari. In episode 1 of my Kgalagadi trip I stayed over at the lodge.

I had some questions about what I use to plan for my trip to the Kgalagadi. I used the internet to do a lot of my planning, but I found that the following book was my main source of making plans in the park. hphpublishing.co.za/products/kgalagadi-self-drive-1st-edition-1?cmp_id=20426659188&adg_id=&kwd=&device=c&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwir2xBhC_ARIsAMTXk84cqLoyOTE85bFz0kblZIRF5vFmuJavr-V3ZgYZ0TpO--ozZh9N17oaApfGEALw_wcB

You should keep a few rubber snakes and place them around your camping equipment and they will keep the snakes away .

Sorry I meant to say monkeys not snakes 😅.

Dankie vir jou terugvoer. Ons behoort deur die jaar nog so paar plekke in Dinokeng te besoek. Maar vir eers is ons Kgalagadi besoek om die draai. Ek hoop dit gaan n goeie een wees.

Subscribed. Luv that truck & trailer. Cute family. Really nice video. At home, we shower in just off-cold water usually, even though we're not young any more. I think there's much to discover if one can stop, walk into the veld, having fitted a great macro lens. Tiny plants with a tenacity to survive the droughts of the Land God Made In Anger, as locals call it.

Thanks for subscribing. The rugged beauty of the Richtersveld is hard to explain, it is breathtaking. You are absolutely right about a macro lens, the small things (plants, animals, even just the sand and rocks) are amazing. I have recently changed my vehicle setup, but I can tell you I miss the Mahindra. The Mahindra was very capable and I had absolutely no issues with it.
