- No tax rate is given in the question. Therefore, depreciation is ignored. There is another reason for not taking depreciation which can only be understood by a BFD student. For MFA student, the above-mentioned reason is enough. - Instead of fair value, future lease payments are considered because we are not paying the fair value today as outflow. Instead, we paying the purchase cost in terms of future yearly lease rentals and an additional payment at the expiry of lease.
