We desperately need a direct link from our inverters to the android app - bypassing sunsynk's lousy servers - if we could see on the app what was on the inverter's screen in real time it would be wonderful....

The android app is useless though on sunsynk. It's been down as much as it's up. Just today there was a major server outage. Time between data updates has risen from 30 seconds to 5 minutes in the last 18 months, so accurate readings are very few and far between...so if the sun goes in just after rhe last reading, you don't know about it for 5 mins...

HI, thank you so much, David, for the update. I think a support center in RSA is very welcome as we needed it not just for support and help but also to become part of that bigger SUNSYNK family know that help is nearby.. KIND REGARDS ANDY. Margate.

i'll bet it's a high frequency, transformerless inverter that offers a shorter life expectancy, a poorer surge capacity and no galvanic isolation between its DC boost stage and its AC output. No thanks!

You're chat service is also very frustrating. They unable to answer reasonable questions. Poor show from you guys. I was advised by a friend to install Huawei, but my installer recommended Sunsynk. After my interactions with your team, it's become a regret that I never listened to my mate.

We have lived through power outages for the last ten or more years, we have outages that last from 4,30am until 11,30pm everyday of the week , it was unbearable, we call electricity here Zesa ( Zimbabwe electricity supply authority) I have put in a Sunsynk 16kw, inverter 32 x 550w panels and am now thinking of putting in 8x 5.5 kWh lithium batteries, I have since installed 2of them only, I have switched of the power from the grid, what a life changer.

If this is easier to use more customer friendly than what’s on the old hybrid inverters then you should offer it, the old software is diabolical !

Hope it’s better than the hybrid inverters from Sunsynk. I’ve given up trying to get my one working which is only a few months old now as tech support is shocking and software that it runs on is way too complicated !

@@chuksobi593 I believe there is a new way they are cooling CPUs using non conductive coolants, where they have a sealed housing that contains the mother board etc this is then filled with the non conductive coolant this helps to dissipate heat much better than air cooling, this might be the way to go in the future,

I was using luxpower app and it gave live information. When I put on a kettle, it would show on the app immediately. I could tell when a high current draw appliance was on at that instant. You only use data when you are using the app, just like any other app. This sunsynk app should be in real time, no excuses.

I'm really sick and tired of your servers not working properly or at all - can't see how much power I'm using or how much battery I have left - can't even do the basics remotely.... Disgraceful.

Im thinking of setting up a 15-20kw 240v 100amp(mayne 200amp} battery, to time shift my energy. do you have recomedations, that may fit the bill? I can't get solar where i am, too close to a montian shadow, so just want the capability to charge a battery for midnigjt to 6am, and for to seamless swits from grid to battery powering my house/charge. Also if the battery get so a certain percent, will this system stst to top up ite battery seamlessly, even if its outside of its programed charge window? Eg set a second fall back function if battery hits 19% turn on carger, even if its not 0000-0600, once at 50%, stop cargeing, unless in the 0000-0600 Something like that?

I just hope the App shows real-time data directly from our own inverters, rather than SunSynk gathering our data and selling it on before we even get to see it ourselves... We desperately need to be able to bypass the SunSynk servers and just see our own data live as though we were stood in front of the inverter....
@rbee3936
@rbee3936 Ай бұрын
The Android App, and the servers are a waste of space. The server is down more than it's up meaning you can't even see how much you're using let alone anything else. The App data only updates every 5 minutes - it used to be every 30 seconds, but more. This means it just can't be used in real life uses... Utter rubbish... Their answer? Look at the inverter screen...

My installer couldn't/wouldn't configure my house to be battery backed, complaining that the SunSynk has floating/switched Neutral, so the UPS was only usable for certain pieces of equipment. Is this true? Did he lie? Has a workaround been sorted out? What can be done? I have a 8.8KW sunsynk system. (I don't mind if the heaviest loads aren't battery backed, ie the cooker and electric shower)
@rbee3936

Why is the interval for data updates on the app 5 mins, ie useless. When i had my SunSynk installed 18 months ago I had data updates on the app every 30 seconds (and I thought that was too high as I wanted real-time). But 5 mins is pathetic and it's been like this for 6 months or more. You have no idea when the last update was, from the app, so you have to memorise a few readings and after continually refreshing the app screen and noticing a change in data, is the only time the data is accurate.... That's ridiculous and pathetic. I tell people not to buy SunSynk just because of that....
@rbee3936
@rbee3936 Ай бұрын
The trouble is, July 2023 when i had my SunSynk installed the app's data updated every 30 seconds. For the last 6 months it's been every 5 mins, which is utter rubbish. Would NOT recommend SunSynk solely because of this and their rubbish programmers... Let alone the number of times a week the App doesn't work at all due to server downages... My guess is that over the past 18 months, the App hasn't been working properly more than it has.... Don't buy SunSynk...
