Would take Bubby starting at qb over O'Donnell in that Superbowl 100 out of 100 times.

I recently discovered this podcast. I am shocked that it is not much more popular. These guys are from my main era of Steelers fandom. Great conversation. Now a Kevin Greene story. I remember waiting in line with friends who were picking up playoff tickets at the stadium. Kevin rolled up to the line in this lifted truck and brought everyone McDonald's breakfast sandwiches, like scores of them. He spent some time chatting amd signing things. He was such a down to earth guy.

I used to drive down the street that the players had to cross to get to the practice field. I had so many great 15 second conversations with those guys!

If, If's and but's were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas. Don Meredith, lol!!!!! I thought I was the only one who used that phrase.

One of the most amazing interviews I think I’ve seen in my entire life. Greg Lloyd my favorite player of all time SAVED by the Grace of God. Please John do an interview of how Greg came to know the Lord and if he ever wants to come to our little church in Greensburg Pa, Calvary Chapel Westmoreland to speak and give his testimony- we are only a few minutes from… Latrobe! 😂 Great, great interview!

Greg Lloyd is if you think about it one of the most underrated players EVER ! He is in my opinion ( I know it doesn't matter ) when he was healthy was top 3 at his position ALL TIME ! I saw a NFL ch show hardest hitters of all time Lloyd wasn't even mentioned and that's a travesty bottom line and he needs to be in the HOF but that wont happen its sad but I love him my favorite NFL player of all time.
@robertrohde45793 жыл бұрын
@@johngossett7642 He should be in the Hall of Fame! Agree 100%! I am not sure exactly where to rank him but top 3 is not out of the question considering that he missed almost all of his first two years with knee injuries. I love the scouting comment on him that he seemed to have a bit of a mean streak! You think! LMFAO!
@johngossett76423 жыл бұрын
@@robertrohde4579 I mean Greg Lloyd in his prime no injuries he was a offensive coordinators nightmare the rules were different and if Lloyd squared up on your qb that was a problem. I know my opinion is biased LOL

Jerome Bettis in an interview said his Steelers Mt. Rushmore would include Greg Lloyd, that alone tells you the type of teammate Lloyd was I highly respect Jerome's opinion based on the character of the man.

Lloyd is my 3rd favorite Steeler ever.. only behind Mean Joe and Lambert!!I wish he could sit down with our linebackers now and truly let them understand the Steelers tradition.. even when the Steelers werent good ,teams hated playing them because of how physical they were!!

Wish he played now. Miss his type of attitude. Heard during jerry olsayky or however you spell his name lol. That after a tackle jerry lent his hand to help the opponent up and lloyd said. "Hey we dont do that blank here" lol. Hell i miss that type of attitude
