Might be able to shed a little light. Two concerns I can see that an officer would have would be the males aggressive attitude can very easily get his friends ramped up and then things can go south fast. The second was that many officers have been shot in the past when dealing with that kind of person. Small guy talking all the shit to a large officer and becoming more aggressive. Situation needed to be resolved quickly giving zero chance of male to react. Could not have been handled any cleaner than what this officer did. As for the charges, it had nothing to do with the officers ego to charge the assault on LEO. There is a good chance that if the kid didn’t have a concealed weapon (brass knuckles) on him then the officer would of let him go. In deciding to charge for the weapon it’s standard to include the charge that led up to the weapon being found no matter how petty it sounds. Example. Car pulled over for not using turn signal and 200,000 pills found. Among all the charges will usually be the ticket for no turn signal. Person looking at a long life in prison and I’m sure $50 ticket is the least of his problems. It’s what led up to everything. This particular video came out awhile ago. I want to say that the community was having an ongoing problem with these kids hanging out, drinking, fighting, and being loud. The kid needed a wake up call cause he was going down a bad path.
