Do you have the Tank Vest from the chapter 12 free mission Flares in the Sand? Cause if you do that should be enough to get through the APC as it is a lot better than the Armored Flak Jacket (it gives +20 DEF instead of +10 DEF and I used it for my non-challenge runs). I thankfully have a save with this mission but was having problems trying to not get Anti-Intercept procing although I did have a successful take where I was barely able to make it to the 2 switches by playing very safely after moving as tight as possible through the APC.
