FYI: if you wish to test the static inverter (used while rat deploys/if blue hyd inop) you'd hit gen test while on bats. Before power up. These provide AC essential power but use the battery. Only during rat deploy/if emer gen isn't working. Batt won't last long this way

Very valid point raised, I forgot to mention it. In addition When the aircraft speed is above 50 kt, the BCL commands the closure of contactor of the Battery 1, and if the circuit voltage of it was greater than 25.5V, elec power is ensured for about 25 to 30 minutes for AC ESS Bus. Hey, Excellent video! I was missing them. Just a quick qn about the fire test and start. By the AMM 26-13..... you need to turn on the master switch and pull the L40 CB before doing the APU fire test. Is this procedure applied only on BAT start and by pilots or just by maint.? Because on most videos they press the master switch after the fire test has been done, thank you!
@VirtualFlightTraining Жыл бұрын
thank you very much, I appreciate it. 😀 yes, this procedure should be applied by everyone for safety reasons when the APU is started from battery power only. Now, going into more detail, I learned that by popping-out the L40-CB, the APU auto shutdown/extinguishing system is isolated. this theoretically removes that 3-second limited period of time to perform the APU fire test. This is because "APU can generate intense heat and can pose a fire hazard, so it's essential to keep the test duration short." "Maintaining this time limit during APU fire tests is a preventive measure to minimize the risk of fire or overheating in the vicinity of the APU."

When the boundary of these envelopes conflicts with the terrain, or with an obstacle memorized in the database, the system generates the alert with the corresponding color.

@VirtualFlightTraining Жыл бұрын
yeah, sorry for that, I was dining out. Anyway, thank you very much for your comment, very interesting questions. In fact, the purpose of these videos is to differ from others in the right way! To your first question I basically answer yes, because when the "IR selector" (called in this way) are in nav position, they supplies full inertial data to aircraft systems. for the toliss on the other hand I didn't fully understand what you mean, don't they aligning on GPS? either way the airport reference coordinates are sufficient unless you want hight navigation performance ((i.e. if you have to fly without GPS with expected long segments in poor NAVAIDS coverage or if you perform low RNP operation). In this case you should adjust the airport reference coordinates to the gate coordinates with the slew keys.
@anslucasi0980 Жыл бұрын
@@VirtualFlightTraining Oh I'm sorry, I just thought you forgot or weren't able and wanted to make sure my questions weren't off, I'm sorry that you were dining. Thanks for the answers and yes, about the toliss I meant that, that they don't align in gnss automatically like here. I don't know if you know about the differences between the phone and plane accuracy because they make no sense to me. So when flying with IRS only I'll guess you'll have at least 0.3nn. anyways thanks for the answer and your patience. :)
@VirtualFlightTraining Жыл бұрын
@@anslucasi0980 no worries! for any doubt ask any question, this will also help others in this channel. honestly, i don't know too much the difference between the mobile gps or gnss, But I can tell you that on the a320 family, the two GPS receiver is integrated in a modular avionics unit called MMR (or Multi Mode Receiver). When the MMR can track 4 or more satellites, it enters NAV mode and continuously supplies data to the ADIRUs. additionally, the aircraft’s position is calculated by FMS computed position using Hybrid GPS/IRS position, GPIRS position combined to provide a MIX IRS position and from the radio position combined, if the two DME or VOR/DME are available. Probably, for short periods of time, the IRS is extemely precise, instead for long time, the GPS is more precise. that's why gps and irs are hybrids. so I'm not sure if the phone position is more accurate than an airplane, but maybe I'm wrong because this is off topic for me 😅 Hope it can help you
@anslucasi0980 Жыл бұрын
@@VirtualFlightTraining cool thanks! Well I mean right now inside my house I have an accuracy of 20 meters which would be around 0.01NM, and planes can and have more than that usually, I mean for an RNP approach you can have up to 0.3NM. @VirtualFlightTraining Жыл бұрын
Hello back my friend, I take the bus equipment list in the FCOM System descriptions section (DSC 32-30-40). Additionally, if the brake temperature exceed 500°C, you must activate the brake fans at any time during taxiing.

ah, i got the problem. the subtitles stopped at minute 2:30, i have no idea why but i will try to fix it. thanks for the feedback, and i am still new in this environment😅 Anyway, I'll insert the transcript: "if we have landed (maybe with tailwind, short runway, high Gross Weight, and on a hot day), it is possible that the brake temperature will exceed 300°C, continuing to rise even a few minutes after touchdown. This effect is due to the residual thermal energy, taking some time before warming up completely."

Hi again! I'm watching all the videos that I've missed, I was wondering why the PTU operates and pressurizes the G sys when both master switches are off. During ENG start, when both master switches are set to on, the PTU operates and does a self-test so it shouldn't operate but looks like it does an exception I guess, and if it does why doesn't the PTU run when the Yellow sys is being pressurized from the ground to close the cargo doors? Thanks.
@VirtualFlightTraining Жыл бұрын
the "self test" (called like this) of the PTU is due to the fact that when the last engine master is set to ON , it takes a while for the EDP to sufficiently pressurize the associated hydraulic system. In fact, when the pressure difference between the two hydraulic systems is less than 500 PSI, the PTU will finish running. the PTU here is activated following a very specific logic demonstrated in one of my videos: > kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJyod56kYplkg8U&ab_channel=VirtualFlightTraining (0:55) Finally, during cargo door operations the yellow electro-hydraulic pump is automatically activated, allowing them to move, but without activating the PTU for 40 seconds at the end of cargo door operations.

Hi! really cool video, sorry for bothering you. I know I'm asking kinda late but after translating the description I still have one question. Were ELAC 1 and 2, and SEC 1, 2, and 3 off? Because they're the flight computers that control the elevators and THS. So when you turned on the SEC 1 it took control of the THS and the elevators to reset it to neutral? Thanks, and I do like these real-life videos :)
@VirtualFlightTraining Жыл бұрын
hi @ANSLUCASI09, thanks for the comment and no bother! 😄 Yes, ELAC 2 & 1 + SEC 2 & 1 control the THS in this exact priority order. for SEC number 3 on the other hand is only used to control spoilers 1 & 2. in the video (as you can see at 0:26) the SEC 1 computer was reset which is the last in the priority list. in case of none of this flight computer was turned off, you can repeat the test in the fenix by simply resetting ELAC 2. I hope I have fully answered at your very interesting question.

Hm never used or tried that pump override and the hyd measurement valves, even some A320 Discord servers were not able to give a clear answer what these buttons actually do, but were telling just about "some emergency procedures purely for maintenance" or something like that. So these buttons disable rudder spoiler on ailerons on hydraulics B and leaves only the emergency generator and the slats for line B? Interesting that´s probably some function to ensure full electrical power on the plane.
@VirtualFlightTraining Жыл бұрын
basically yes. in fact it is called "Maintenence Panel" and is used only for that purpose. The blue pump override Pb activates the blue hydraulic-electric pump at any time, even when the engines are off (which is not normally the case). The Leak Measurement valves insted, are used to isolate and/or measure a leak of in each circuit. This happens in case the hydraulic power is not enough or for safety reasons (During high-pressure hydraulic operations).

And how detailed eveb the parts of the RAT that are somewhat hidden inside the bay look like, plus a deploy sound can be heard while deploy.... All these details I love it!
