Ahh my friend fellow Filipinos are not allowed to go to most bars without being escorted by a foreigner. Keep in mind these fellow Filipinos are one of the main reasons why the girls are even working in the bars. These fellow Filipinos left their girl after they get pregnant and then the girl has to find a way to support the child by herself & most of the time without any education background that qualifies for a decent job. Foreigners arrive here from different planets and accept the fellow Filipinos responsibilities and provide dreams for these girls that were previously abandoned. Everyone has a story and foreigners have provided so many happy endings that would have been horrible because of fellow Filipinos. So I guess you can say I don't appreciate a lot of fellow Filipinos who get their girl pregnant and then run away but it's so normal here it's crazy. As crazy as it sounds most of these bargirls only do this out feeling they have no other choices and it's true. Most of them hate the job but have to do acting until a miracle happens. Hello I must say it's very hard sometimes because a lot of these girls come to Angeles from nearby provinces only to make some pesos and then return weeks or months later maybe. Some workers are locals but even they move around a lot and their numbers change often because they lose their phone or share a phone with someone else. My friend actually most kids do play outside here all day every day because it's so hot inside when you only have fan and no aircon. Everyone can't afford to pay for fun at the mall when they can use those pesos for food & medicine. The games the kids play here may be considered a little unsafe considering they are playing in open fields of garbage & construction and under bridges with contaminated lakes. Sad to say you are mostly right my friend but I don't believe she said her parents were officially married. We often say we are married here even when we are just live-in partners and it's true in the province many girls have family supporters who tell them to go to Angeles City for easy pesos.😒Desperate times are our daily life in this 3rd world country so there are many things we do here that will shock travelers from other countries. We invite foreigners to take a walk in our shoes to understand our culture and realize still we are not that different than everyone else. We are just less fortunate but we hold strong to our faith & family and we always dream of a better tomorrow. Pacific Breeze Hotel is a decent hotel Andy. It's recommended to stay in the newer building but either way it's okay. If you plan in advance you could get the Central Park Hotel for about the same price which I would say is a much more elegant place to stay. Both hotels are currently $55 - $65 USD but CASH & ADVANCE bookings both may provide cheaper prices.
