It is also brilliant for easing scalds and burns. Just sprinkle some Borax on the affected area. I have done this for years.

Windex will remove the white lettering and numbers from keys. It does it in cars. When you wipe Windex across buttons with with white lettering printed on them, it will remove the white paint. It happened when I was cleaning the windshield, then used the rag to wipe the rest of the car. Don't use Windex on buttons or keyboard.

I've dug tools out of the ground metal detecting I spray them down with Simple Green cleaner you can get at Wally world and you can open and close them in about 10 minutes never had it to fail on the crustiest of tools...

I tried baking soda and vinegar three times. Tried putting dawn soap down both drains. Tried multiple pots of boiling hot water. Nothing work. I started this two days ago .

Some good ideas here, but the best way to look after tools is not to let them go rusty in the first place. My late dad, who used to run his own construction company, used to tell me that you only have to see the condition of a worker's tools to know how good he is at his job. Take pride in your tools, look after them and they will never let you down.

TOTAL BS! Stone manufacturers tell you NOT to oil the stone. Put the stone in your self clean oven and run it through a cleaning cycle. After it cools completely. Brush the ash off. It works and looks new.

Thats what Ive been doing with my blinds,More mucky than I thought they where,Taken the small blinds down from my KItchen window,Put them in the bath,Put washing up liqrid on them,Amount of muck coming out of them was unreal,Put them back up on the Kitchen window,They so much more cleaner,Made a big difference,I broght them all when I first moved to my new flat,That was back in 2019,Got about nearly 6 years of muck on them,Other Kitchen blinds still up on the Window,Left them soaking in bleach spray,I finish cleaning them soon,They also come up very clean as well

Put the rusty tool in a strong salt solution then connect wires to battery terminals and dip the loose wires into the solution, you'll see it Fizz around the wire ends. It's called Electrolysis, which removes the rust, see the water turning brown/red.

Good tips. Another acid that removes rust - a very powerful acid but it emits fumes - is Oxalic Acid. It is available in powder form to mix with water and soak rusted things in. Same acid as in Barkeeper’s Friend from Rhubarb.

You can pour soda on the rust, and then scrub off with a brillo pad. Then, use vinegar and soap water to help clean after.

I've been using cleaning vinegar (not for human consumption) It can be found in with cleaning supplies at Walmart and some HD/Lowes. stores.. It has a higher level of acidity and works great usually overnight on severely rusted parts and tools. Narragansett Bay
