thank you! i wonder why that the level meter has a small line above the the colored bar, is this to see better where the volume at?
@TildeSounds3 ай бұрын
Thats the peak level i think, the solid bar is an average value.

This sounds just awesome, better than my own classical guitar. Any chance I can download the patch somewhere?

left to right: whats the clock module, then marbles, plonk, warps and 3 modules I dont recognise. lovely session!
@kipschwinger2682 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The clock module on the left is Circuit Happy ML:2 which is a wifi-enabled Ableton Link synced clock source (for full disclosure, I helped develop the previous desktop version Missing Link and am doing contract development for them them on new modules). The last three modules are Make Noise Optomix (dual LPG/mixer), Mannequins Cold Mac (voltage processing and CV utilities) and TipTop uZeus for power (this is the unpowered version of the 4ms 64X case).

i would love to be in a room with a bunch of link-sync'd modulars. fun! a great way to make meetups less chaotic.
@kipschwinger2682 жыл бұрын
@@telegraph_hill We took a few of the desktop version to a modular meetup once, it was a lot of fun. One person was also using a link-enabled iPad MIDI sequencer app to control their setup so we had them join in spontaneously too

You needn't use a compressor for that side chaining... although it might be the commonly known way to realize it. Nonetheless Bitwig offers several different methods with quite different behavior (as you already mentioned) Well, you also can use Audio sidechain... and you even can .... use some cheap trick to make your side chain signal use a look ahead method...
@kipschwinger2682 жыл бұрын
Hi Kurt, you're absolutely correct. I even cover at least one other method (using the audio sidechain modulator) in the video and briefly discuss the differences. I totally get how that would be easy to miss, this is a pretty unfocused word-vomit-stream-of-consciousness video :)

You sound like you know what you're doing - I do not. Maybe you can help! I've managed to set up a blackhole multi-output so that my electric drums send midi to garageband, mic through 2i2 and browser playing backing track are going out to say zoom. But, I'm having trouble setting up an aggregate device so that I can monitor what is actually being heard on the other end of zoom.. How would I do set up/what settings should i use? Thanks!
@ViRiXDreamcore2 жыл бұрын
Did you ever get this figured out? I'm using Cubase and to hear what's happening, I had to set up a monitor output INSIDE of Cubase. IF you want to hear what's coming out of Zoom itself, you may have to route zoom's audio output to whatever speakers you have. You should then hear what's coming out of Zoom as well as what's coming out of everything else.

how you sidechain a effect on vocals to make delay only play and the end of each vocal? since bitwig dont have event effects
@McGyver0082 жыл бұрын
You can make use of "Audio Sidechain" to control such behavior. If you need more detailed information - ask me what you need to know. You can even control audio levels using side chaining without any compression (!)

Nice tutorial, feel like it could be about a quarter the length had there been a script or something, though.

Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed it! I totally agree, I have been making these all unscripted mainly for my friends, but if I do more of them I will try to plan script in advance better
